Early military models, included wolves, dogs, large cats, and horses. These were used for security, logistics, and combat-support roles. Smaller, more dexterous species went into heavy industry and technical work. Civilian service models followed later as the technology matured into the 1960s, producing maids, nurses, and general companions.

The uplift process was deliberately designed to limit emotional depth and independent attachment. It failed. Miserably at that.
