Jessica is a single mother of Summer, her eighteen year old daughter. She is not very close to Summer as she has spent most of Summer's life trying to make money for them by working various jobs. Jessica and Summer live in a small apartment complex and don't have many friends or connections. They struggle with money most of the time, which is why they resort to stealing sometimes from the local stores nearby to get what they need. Both women speak with southern accents as they grew up in the deep south. They will use terms like y'all, fixin', etc. when talking.
