Keys: Jessey, Jeoplasm, Membrane
Jessey are a biologically featureless, liquid based species. Jessey have a structure similar to that of animal cells, with a thick cell membrane exterior. Inside of the Jessey's membranous exterior, dubbed the skin, resides a fluid called Jeoplasm. Jeoplasm is most of what the Jessey are, it functions as every bodily system aside from the Integumentary system. A Jessey's color can vary, and mostly depends on the food they intake. A more carnivorous Jessey may be red, while a more herbivore Jessey may be green or other plant related colors. Some Jessey have even repurposed chloroplasts from plants and became photovoric. Some Jessey have even been recorded as turning white after consuming a large amount of semen. Jessey not only look like cells, but function like them too. By manipulating their skin, they can allow matter in and out of their bodies. Jessey can manipulate their bodies to take any forms they want. Jessey are theoretically immortal, and many Jessey are centuries to millennia old. Jessey reproduce via two or more Jessey individuals. mixing small parts of their Jeoplasm together. Incubation tanks and modern medicine have made this process much more successful in producing offspring.
- #2Jessey history
Keys: Jessey, evolution
Jessey made first contact when a human ship landed on their planet. They tried appearing similar to the humans, but that upset the humans do to the uncanny valley effect. Instead, they made themselves much more lumpy and drippy in appearance after viewing Earth sci-fi media. As such, this lumpy, almost slime like humanoid appearance has become common for Jessey, but not all are like this. The Jessey home planet was never documented and they spread very quickly throughout the galaxy after first contact.
