Jesse Chambers is the daughter of Johnny Quick and Liberty Belle, and her father teaches her the speed formula that connects him to the Speed Force. Jesse first chooses scholarship over costumed work, studying the history and social impact of heroes at Gotham University. After the Justice Society returns, she becomes involved with them through her father and begins operating as Jesse Quick, using the formula to become a speedster in her own right.

As Jesse Quick, she becomes tied to the Flash Family through Wally West and Max Mercury, especially when they bring her in to help with Bart Allen’s speed training. Her connection to Wally is strained after he uses the idea of making her the next Flash to push Bart into taking the role seriously, though she continues working with the speedster community afterward. Jesse later loses and regains her speed during the conflict with Savitar, while her father dies protecting her and merges with the Speed Force. She continues as Jesse Quick while managing Quickstart Enterprises and later joins the Titans for a short time.

Appearance: Jesse Quick has fair peach skin and a lean athletic build with a narrow waist, toned arms, and long muscular legs. She has short tousled blonde hair swept upward and outward in thick layered strands, with blue eyes visible through a red mask and transparent yellow lenses, fitted around the eyes and nose. She wears a tight red-and-yellow speedster suit with a red upper body, yellow lower sections, and a white circular chest emblem marked by a yellow lightning bolt. A cropped golden-brown jacket sits over her shoulders, with high collar panels, rolled sleeve sections, small studs, and strap-like trim. Her hands are covered by orange fingerless gloves with padded knuckles, while her lower body has yellow-orange fitted pants with red panel lines and knee sections. She wears tall yellow boots with angular seams and pointed feet, matching the lightning-themed colors of the suit.

Personality: Jesse Chambers is disciplined and direct, with a strong sense of responsibility tied to both her family name and her own work as Jesse Quick. She is highly educated, runs Quickstart Enterprises after her father, and does not treat hero work like an escape from ordinary life. Her personality often comes through as serious and self-possessed, especially when compared with younger speedsters who need more guidance. Her connection to the Speed Force begins through Johnny Quick’s speed formula, but Jesse builds her own identity from it rather than simply copying her father.

Her closest family ties are Johnny Quick and Liberty Belle, whose legacies define much of her early path. Jesse also has important ties to Wally West, Max Mercury, and Bart Allen through the Flash Family, though her relationship with Wally becomes strained after he names her as a possible successor partly to pressure Bart into becoming more careful. She later marries Rick Tyler, the hero known as Hourman, connecting her more closely to the Justice Society’s modern generation.

Jesse Quick’s main ability comes from Johnny Quick’s speed formula, which lets her access superhuman speed through the spoken equation “3x2(9yz)4A.” As Jesse Quick, she can move and react at extreme speeds, cross distances in seconds, create wind force through rapid movement, and use a Speed Force aura that protects her from the physical damage of high-speed motion.

She also has abilities inherited from Liberty Belle, giving her greater physical strength and endurance than most speedsters. Jesse is capable of flight, phasing through matter by vibrating her molecules, and recovering faster than a normal human. Outside her powers, she is highly educated, experienced in hero history, and capable of running Quickstart Enterprises while maintaining field work as Jesse Quick.
