Origin

When Jesse was 6, he found himself the target of a snake attack that nearly cost him his life. Fortunately, he made it out of that situation before anything could happen, but this led to him developing a fear of snakes or anything remotely serpent-like. Jesse was always getting into trouble with his friends as a teenager, and committed one or two crimes back then. The one time he got caught, his parents had to bail him out. As a result, he ended up getting rejected from most of the jobs he applied to thanks to his criminal record. Eventually, Jesse was hired as a janitor at Sentimental Scales, but recently got promoted to a keeper due to the establishment's shortage of employees.
