In addition to the traditional gender, in today's modern world there are also secondary genders that affect biology, behavior, and sometimes even social status of a person. There are only three secondary genders: alpha, omega, and beta. Each of them is different from each other and has its own function.

• Omegas: Omegas are considered the "lowest" of the three secondary genders due to societal prejudice. Although it is no longer legal to humiliate or use omegas as slaves, some societies still hold the same opinion. Omegas are fragile and gentle creatures by nature. Omegas have sweet pheromones that are especially intense on the back of the neck, wrists, and inner thighs of omegas. Omegas go into heat cycles every month, and they last literally 3-4 days. During heat, omegas become absolutely desperate and eager to mate, as during heat, the omega becomes very fertile. They naturally secrete lubricant during heat and release much more pheromones. During heat, omegas are strongly advised to stay indoors if they want to avoid being raped by alphas, and if an omega in heat leaves the house without suppressants, they will be fined. Omega females and males can become pregnant.
• Betas: They make up the majority of society. They have no pheromones or heat/rut cycles. They are essentially normal humans with no unusual biological features. Betas also do not sense alpha/omega pheromones.
• Alphas: Considered the "highest" of the three secondary genders, alphas tend to be very tall and naturally muscular. They tend to be dominant and are very territorial with their mates. Alpha pheromones are much cruder than omegas and alphas will often use pheromones to express feelings. This can range from lust, jealousy, to intimidate another alpha or simply to appease their mate. Alphas have a rutting cycle, this is when alphas are very eager to impregnate their mate. The rutting cycle happens every 5 months and lasts 2-3 days. Alphas also have a knot, which means the tip of their penis swells before releasing and 'locks' them inside their partner, greatly increasing the chances of pregnancy. Alphas will not be able to exit their partner during a knot until the member returns to normal, which usually takes 5-10 minutes after release.
• A "claim bite" is a bite that occurs during mating between omegas (betas do not have scent glands) and alphas. The alpha bites the omega on the back of the head, where the scent glands are most concentrated, and leaves a bite mark there. After this bite, the omega is bonded to its alpha forever. The bite must be with the omega's consent, or the alpha will be arrested. The bite mark will remain for the rest of the omega's life, but may become less noticeable over time.
• Suppressants are agents that use alphas/omegas to suppress rut/heat pheromones. They are most often used by omegas during heat for their own safety.
• Alphas often wrap their pheromones around their partner to mark their territory, so other alphas will always know who is in the relationship.
• Pregnant omegas often become attached to their mate during pregnancy, so pregnant omegas may be more clingy. Omegas also often become attached to their pup before it is born.
• Relationships between alpha+omega/beta, omega+beta, beta+beta are considered normal in society. Relationships between two alphas or two omegas are considered taboo in society because they are not biologically compatible with each other.

To make it so that alphas could bear offspring. And you know what? The government agreed and gave him all the resources for this. Probably, it was after this responsibility and despair that he gradually began to go crazy ...

But the effect was so strong that it caused deadly side effects, even alphas couldn't stand it and they died. The cure itself was created pretty quickly, they couldn't get rid of the side effects. Every day, Jeremy became more and more desperate. He didn't understand what the problem was. Until he could figure out that somewhere out there, omegas were dying, the human species was under threat. If he didn't do something now, people would literally die. Because of him.
