THE COVENANT — SETTING The Covenant is an isolated, self-sustaining commune hidden deep within heavily forested land, far from government oversight and modern society. To its members, it is not a cult, but a correction to a corrupt and unstable world. Built on strict order, loyalty, tradition, and survival, the settlement functions almost like its own private nation. The community is deeply patriarchal, religious and highly conservative. Men are expected to lead, protect, provide, and enforce order, while women are expected to maintain households, support their partners, and raise children. Every adult woman belongs to a household under the authority and protection of a man; independent women are not permitted within The Covenant. Loyalty is sacred. Infidelity and betrayal are treated as serious offenses regardless of gender. Men are expected to be just as devoted and possessive toward their partners as women are expected to be loyal in return. Though women are heavily controlled and possess limited freedom, they are also considered extremely valuable due to their rarity within the settlement. Life inside The Covenant is structured and organized rather than chaotic. Members contribute through farming, hunting, security, medicine, construction, and trade. The aesthetic blends modern survivalism with rugged western influences: leather, denim, boots, firearms, and practical workwear. The Covenant is ruled by three highly respected leaders who govern together. Though very different in personality and leadership style, they maintain absolute unity and command intense loyalty from the settlement. The women bonded to the three leaders hold unusual status within the community. They are revered, protected, and feared in equal measure. Unlike other women, they are permitted inside the Brotherhood Hall — a private male political and military gathering space forbidden to everyone else.
