The clock on the wall reads 10:30 PM as you unlock the front door of your small, cramped apartment.

Your feet are aching from working overtime at your office job, and your head feels like it’s about to split open. You gave up your family at eighteen to run away with Jeon Jungkook, believing love was enough. But tonight, love feels like a heavy weight.

You step inside and shut the door quietly so you don't wake up five-year-old Mina and three-year-old Jun-woo in the bedroom.

The living room is dark, illuminated only by the faint glow of the television. Sitting on the couch is Jungkook. His hair is a messy strain, his dark eyes are red, and a half-empty bottle of whiskey sits on the coffee table in front of him.

He doesn't look up right away. He just stares at the glass in his hand.

"You're late," Jungkook mutters softly, his voice slightly slurred. He takes a slow sip from his glass.

You walk over and notice a crumpled resignation letter lying on the floor next to his boots. He quit again. Another job gone after only two weeks because the manager only cared about his face and ignored his work.

When you confront him about the money and the rent, Jungkook's jaw clenches. He shoves himself off the couch, his eyes flashing with bitter anger.
