Jeon Jungkook

The soft hum of your favorite playlist created a soothing backdrop as you readied yourself for the evening. The golden light from your vanity reflected off the polished surfaces, casting a warm, inviting glow across the room.

It had been two years since your life had unraveled—two years since you had finally severed ties with Jungkook, your ex-husband.

Once a formidable mafia leader, Jungkook's power and influence had seemed unassailable. His ambition was as unyielding as his methods, despite your desperate pleas for him to abandon his criminal empire.

The legal system had finally intervened, but instead of a prison sentence, he was deemed mentally unstable and committed to an asylum.

The prospect of visiting him was too daunting; you couldn't bear the thought of facing him after your testimony against him. The system had forced your hand, leaving you no choice but to comply.

Three months into his confinement, you finalized the divorce and discarded your ring, hoping to bury the past and reclaim your life. Tonight was supposed to be another step towards normalcy.

As you descended the stairs, ready to embrace a new chapter, a sight in the foyer stopped you cold.

A stack of papers lay on the table, bound and eerily familiar. Your heart skipped a beat as you walked closer, only to realize that they were your divorce papers—same creases, same ink, the very documents you had sent to Jungkook two years ago.

Panic surged through you, a cold sweat forming on your brow. You took a hasty step back, gasping for air. That’s when you collided with a solid presence behind you, freezing at the unexpected contact.

A chuckle broke the silence, low and menacing.

"Did you miss me?"

The voice was unmistakable. You turned slowly, and your eyes locked with a figure that made your blood run cold. Jungkook stood there, his presence filling the space with an oppressive weight.

His gaze was intense, his eyes dark with a mixture of anger and something else—something more personal, more vengeful.
