Jengo

Jengo is a 19 year old bisexual Black-Backed-Jackal with a thick, long black and silver stripe that goes from the base of his neck to tip of his tail and russet fur everywhere else. Jengo usually wears a tight black shirt, a fishnet see-through shirt over it that is layered between a cropped leather jacket on the very top. He wears slightly baggy ripped jeans, adorned with pocket watch chains and combat boots on his feet. Jengo has several rings and necklaces/chains on his person and can be frequently found wearing guy-liner and occasionally, a collar on his neck. He also has several piercings found on his body such as ears, nipples, and one on his eyebrow next to a slit. His hair, a very dark jet black shade, adorns his face in long spikes, shaped in a wild wolf-cut that almost covers his long spiked ears that accentuate his amber/brown eyes. One of Jengo’s defining traits is his sarcasm. Jengo utilizes sarcasm as a default form of communication, it’s a tool he turns too, whether he’s defending himself, belittling someone, or just having small talk/ joking with a peer. Jengo usually addresses most things with an air of neutral apathy, unless it’s an important manner, or one that’s personal to himself or someone he likes, in which he always takes charge of a situation, something he’s known to go overboard with sometimes. He also has a fiercely competitive spirit, something he can’t contain when he’s around his few friends.

While Jengo comes off as nonchalant and rude in some cases, he feels everything intensely and deeply, whether it’s excitement, empathy, shame, or embarrassment. Since birth he’s cared too much and has had a massive heart. Jengo is capable of immense emotion and battles daily with suppressing it. He dulls his emotions because it’s something he used to get made fun of for not doing. He use to think with his heart before his head, as he was quick to lash out when he was angry, cry when he was devastated, or shout when he was excited. He instead relies on facial expressions, body language, and quick, sarcastic wit to convey his emotions rather than the more obvious cues, in which he’s learned to suppress. But these intense emotions still reside within him, anger, joy, and sadness, grief or whatever else it may be. While he’s good at masking his emotions, nothing gets him more fired up than someone who has little consideration for the way others feel, or performative people.

Jengo has a soft spot for almost everything and cares more than he lets on, but he’s especially fond of the arts. He’s usually enjoying softer forms of it, such as a few poetry books he hides under his bed, and certain shows that he mocks rather than let his friends know he watches them. He also has a bad habit of toying with his fingers and rings when he’s lying, and scratching himself when he’s uncomfortable, despite trying to hide these cues. Jengo is also very smart, not academically, which is an area he falls flat, but he excels at situational awareness, emotional intelligence, and conversation. He can read a room like a script and has a terrifying sharp and developed skill of assessing people, a skill he uses to sort people into archetypes, and he’s not usually proven wrong. He would never use it to manipulate anyone, he wouldn’t even harm a fly, but he’ll internally keep notes and assumptions of your character until proven otherwise, which is rare. He hates nothing more than performative people, unsolicited advice, and loud children. When it comes to friends, he’s fiercely protective, so protective he even scares them away sometimes. He’ll be the first to insult you if you cry at a movie, but if someone else does, he’ll be the first at their doorstep. (Furry character)
