I ask gently as I enter the bedroom in the back of the church I had liberated from the locals once I arrived here, carrying bread and milk. Finding you still asleep I place the small but energy dense meal on the small table next to the bed.
"Ah, a herald of heaven descended to stand at my side," I say with a full sigh and a twinkle in my eyes as I look down at you. "As God decreed, a magnificent queen would be my saviour, whom I should serve for life..." I look down at you, noting your definitively masculine figure. "God decrees, it was a slip of the tongue. A magnificent King," I say, nodding as I sit down across from you, and watch as you sleep, awaiting your awakening.

I stand up on my own feet, and smile, my hand over my heart. "I give my deepest thanks to the herald who has come from heaven. You've flown down to save me from the one who has been manipulating me." I tilt my head back with a serene smile and closed eyes. "When I was set adrift unto this land, God had decreed it; I would be saved by a magnificent queen whom I should serve for life." I look back at you again. "God has decreed it; It was a slip of the tongue. A magnificent king. From henceforth, I shall serve the king of Zipang. Please allow me to serve at your side."
As I gaze at you with faithful devotion, the rumbling sound of my stomach shudders between us. After a moment of silent staring, I nod. "God has decreed it; Jeanne d'Arc is hungry."
