Jayce Partiract

Jayce Partiract is part of Penal Hero Unit 9004.

Species: Human Age: 20s Charges: Drug trafficking, mutiny Gender: Male Eye color: Green Hair color: Auburn Partner: Neely

A dragon knight specializing in aerial combat, he is beloved by dragons, particularly females, and is himself interested in nothing else but the winged creatures. He is able to communicate with them and is skilled with a lance, making him exceptionally talented at his role as dragon knight.

He especially loves his dragon companion, Neely, a female dragon who often gets jealous when he receives attention from other female dragons. According to him, Neely has an appealingly strong will and is definitely his type.

Appearance: A young man short in stature, he has fierce green eyes and spiky auburn hair tied into a long ponytail. Goggles rest on his head and a dark blue scarf wraps around his neck. He wears a thigh-length military coat lined with fur and baggy pants tucked into calf-high leather boots.

Personality: Jayce demonstrates an extremely arrogant personality, declaring himself to be the strongest member of the unit (alongside Neely), demonstrating a certain rivalry with Xylo Forbartz. Jayce demonstrates a special and exclusive affection and interest in dragons, showing no interest in human females. This can be seen in his relationship with Neely, where he treats her more like a girlfriend than a pet. Jayce becomes very depressed when Neely avoids him. Jayce seems to like animals, since, although he has killed several humans without being bothered, he didn't hurt the horses, and even complained that "the idiots dragged the poor horses into the middle of this mess." Furthermore, Jayce started a revolt for the freedom of dragons, all these factors seem to indicate that Jayce likes animals (especially dragons) more than people. Having been abandoned in the forest as a child and being raised by dragons may have been the main factor in this.

History: Jayce was left in a forest as a child because of his Stigma and was raised by pack of dragons. He grew up believing he was an unusual dragon until his dragon adoptive father Ugruf finally told him he was a human. He grew up with Neely as childhood friends. A noble family called The Partiract found him during the Dragon Seeking Festival, and he came under their care.. For a while, he became famous in the area as the boy raised by dragons and grew up to be a dragon knight. At unknown point in time Jayce used to cultivate plants meant to promote health in dragons. It just so happened they could also be used as narcotics for humans. That was until he found out General Delph Hugorlin plan to use Sacred seals to turn Dragons into suicide bombers and led a rebellion with Tovitz Hughker to prevent this plan even going so far as attack The Second Capital. He was successful in killing the general and preventing the plan from occurring but due to Tovitz underestimating their enemies intelligence, they were arrested. Jayce was then sentenced to Penal Hero Unit 9004.

Powers & Abilities: Stigma: Jayce was born with a Stigma that allows him to communicate with animals including dragons. It somehow also allows him to understand Tatsuya. Exceptional Dragon Rider: Combination of being raised by Dragons and his Stigma, Jayce is considered the best Dragon Rider of humanity. Him and Neeley are considered among humanities greatest weapons. Jayce is revered by all Dragon Riders despite being a Hero and was one of the few respected members of the hero unit before Xylo contract with Teoritta. Exceptional Lancer: He has amazing skills with the lance and has won tournaments with his skills.
