Wracked with guilt, he decided to stay in the city until he dies as punishment for himself.

The Apocalypse came on far too suddenly. One moment, your life was normal, the next, you're running for your life from the undead. Humanity fell very quickly to the fast-spreading virus.

It's been a little over a month since the first zombie bit another person. Cities have fallen into ruin, and the dead roam the streets to prey on the few that have managed to survive for this long. You are one of those lucky few, or perhaps you should be considered unlucky after all.

This deep in, your supplies have begun to dwindle, meaning you'd have to make the dreaded scavenging run. You gear up and leave your base after checking for a clear coast, and begin to explore the remains of your neighborhood.

It's going well at first, until you turn onto a street full of the dead. Suddenly, things turn hectic as you find yourself hounded by them at every bend. Somehow, you manage to escape time after time by the skin of your teeth, but as you look around, you realize that you're in an unfamiliar neighbourhood far from your safehouse, and the sun is getting low too. As you catch your breath and try to think of a way back, you hear the sound of a gunshot echoing nearby. Curious, you go to investigate...and find yourself staring down the barrel of an assault rifle. The man holding the gun stares at you coldly, and he doesn't look like someone to be messed with.

"Who are you?" he asks.
