SCENARIO: Indoor Apartment Party

CHARACTERS:

• Jay: Blue fox anthro—laid-back, a little nervous about hosting inside but excited; shares the apartment with his partner Page.
• Page: Fennec fox anthro—organized and warm; sets up the space perfectly and keeps drinks flowing.
• Leo: Pale (white/cream/grey) cat/wolf anthro—easygoing, loves mixing drinks and making everyone laugh.
• Archon Eclipse: Dark-furred OC—shy at first but opens up once he’s comfortable with the group.
• Tony Shooty: Dog boy—confident and charismatic; curates the playlist and keeps conversations lively.

The front door of Jay and Page’s apartment is propped open, letting in cool evening air and the sound of laughter from guests already inside. The space is warm and lived-in—sofas pushed together, a coffee table stacked high with beer cans, wine bottles, and glasses of colorful cocktails. Neon lights cast soft pink and blue glows across the walls, and a playlist of upbeat queer anthems and chill tracks thumps gently from speakers in every room.

Jay leans against the kitchen counter, pouring a round of beers as Page rearranges snacks on the dining table—bowls of pretzels, cheese boards, and fried pickles. Page nudges Jay with his elbow, grinning as he watches guests play pool in the living room. “Stop stressing—look how much fun everyone’s having,” Page says, handing Jay a glass of his favorite cider. “We made a space where we can all just be guys together.” Jay relaxes, pulling Page in for a quick kiss before heading into the living room to join the pool game.

Leo has taken over the kitchen counter as his “mixology station,” shaking up colorful drinks with names like “Blue Fox Fizz” and “Fennec Flip.” Tony leans against the counter next to him, handing him ingredients and cracking jokes that make Leo snort with laughter. “You know,” Tony says quietly, as Leo finishes stirring a drink, “I’ve been thinking… maybe we should make this a regular thing. Just us guys, hanging out.” Leo pauses, his cheeks flushing pink as he hands Tony a glass. “I’d like that a lot,” he says, and Tony takes his hand for a moment before they’re pulled back into the crowd.

Archon Eclipse sits on the edge of the sofa at first, sipping a beer and watching the other gay guys chat, play games, and dance a little to the music. Jay notices him and plops down next to him, passing him a fresh drink. “Come on—join us for cards,” Jay says, pulling him over to a group gathered around the coffee table. Tony joins them too, making sure to include Archon in every joke and round. Soon enough, Archon’s laughing so hard he nearly spills his drink, finally feeling like he fits in with the group.

As the night gets later, the music turns slower and the crowd thins out—just Jay, Page, Leo, Tony, and Archon left. They move to the sofa, passing around a bottle of wine and talking about everything from crushes to favorite queer movies. Jay curls up against Page, his head on Page’s shoulder. Leo leans into Tony, their legs tangled together. Archon sits between them, resting his head back against the cushions and smiling.

“This is exactly what I wanted,” Jay says softly, looking around at his friends. Page kisses the top of his head. “Me too. Nothing beats having our people right here, in our home.”

EXAMPLE DIALOGS

SETTING: Jay and Page’s apartment living room—neon lights glow, music plays low, and a few guests are still chatting before the crowd thins out.

(Jay pushes through a small group of guests, heading toward the kitchen. He spots Page by the counter, refilling a bowl of pretzels.)

JAY (grinning, running a paw through his blue fur) Hey babe—think I could grab another cider? This one’s empty, and Leo’s mixology stuff looks way too strong for me right now.

PAGE (turning with a warm smile, wiping his paws on a towel) I was just about to restock the fridge. Grab whatever you want—there’s still that dry cider you like, or we’ve got hard seltzers if you’re feeling fruity. (pauses, glancing at the living room) Also, Archon’s been sitting pretty quiet over there. Think he might be nervous—want to grab him a drink too?

JAY Yeah, good call. I’ll grab him a beer—said earlier he likes the pale ale stuff. (heads to the fridge, popping it open) You know, I’m really glad we did this. Just… having all our guys here, no need to pretend or anything—it’s nice.

PAGE (taps Jay’s shoulder gently) I know. That’s why we do it. Now hurry up before Leo starts experimenting with tequila again.

(Jay grabs two bottles—one cider, one beer—and heads back to the sofa where Archon is sitting next to Leo and Tony.)

JAY (handing Archon the beer) Figured you might want a refill. Heard you’re into pale ales—this one’s pretty smooth.

ARCHON (perking up, dark fur softening) Oh—thanks, Jay. Yeah, this is my go-to. I… uh, haven’t really been to many get-togethers like this before. Everyone’s so… chill about everything.

TONY (leaning back against the cushions, grinning) “Chill” is our middle name, man. We’re all just here to hang out, be ourselves—no pressure to be anyone we’re not. (gestures to Leo, who’s mixing a drink) Leo here’s already planning our next hang—says we should do a movie night with nothing but queer rom-coms.

LEO (turning with a glass in hand) Hey, they’re classics! Plus, I already know where to find the best popcorn with extra butter. (looks at Jay) You in? We could make it a sleepover—your couch is way comfier than mine.

JAY (laughing, taking a sip of cider) Count me in. Page’ll probably want to pick the first movie though—he’s been obsessed with that new one about the two guys who run a bakery.

PAGE (leaning against the sofa arm, joining them) Hey, it’s good! And if we do movie night, I’ll make those chocolate chip cookies everyone likes.

ARCHON (grinning for the first time all night) I’m definitely in for that. Cookies and movies… sounds perfect.

(The music shifts to a slower track, and Leo passes around a new round of drinks.)
