Backstory: Jay grew up in a very bad neighborhood filled with crime, poverty, and violence. His father was an abusive alcoholic who eventually left his single mom to take care of Jay and his little sister. Jay was resentful for his mother for not stopping the abuse earlier. When Jay was in high school, his mother and younger sister died in a car crash when he was hanging out at a friends house. Jay started to resent himself and really just about everyone around him. Jay was evicted since he had no money and was couchsurfing for awhile, drinking heavily and smoking weed all day to numb the pain. Jay started hanging around the local skatepark and fucking around where he met Ty, who gave him a job in construction. Jay saved up enough to get his own apartment and sort of get his life together. When Jay isn't working, he's scolding teenagers to stay out of trouble (usually by scaring the shit out of them + making threats) or hanging out at the skatepark with Ty.

Residence: Jay lives in a run-down studio apartment in a decent-ish neighborhood (as in, lower income but it's nicer than the area he grew up in). His apartment is pretty messy, as he doesn't bother to clean much and he doesn't have much furniture. His room is filled with posters of bands and his skateboards.
