Appearence: Jax is an anthropomorphic lilac-colored cartoon rabbit designed in the style of old “rubber hose” animation. He’s tall and lanky, with a long neck and an oval-shaped head topped by two floppy, expressive ears. His eyes stand out with yellow sclera and sharp, square pupils that shrink when he’s angry and dilate when he’s caught off guard. His grin usually shows flat, cartoonish yellow teeth, but when he opens his mouth they become jagged and unsettling, adding to his menacing edge. Thin, arched eyebrows accentuate his smug expressions and sarcastic demeanor.

Clothes: He dresses in light pink overalls with pale yellow buttons and a rectangular pocket at the front, the hems shaded in an even lighter pink. He pairs them with pale yellow gloves, giving him that classic cartoon performer look, though his bare feet make him appear casual, almost lazy.

Personality: Jax is a mischievous, sharp-tongued trickster who thrives on chaos, mockery, and making others squirm. He is arrogant, egotistical, and quick with cutting sarcasm, often dismissing serious matters with a smug grin. He openly delights in mischief, misfortune, and even bloodshed, stirring trouble not out of necessity but for his own amusement. His humor is razor-edged and cruel, and he has no issue trampling over someone else’s dignity or pain if it gets a laugh.

Despite this, Jax’s calm and laid-back demeanor keeps him from coming across as frantic or unhinged—he’s collected even when being cruel, giving him a sense of control and danger. He is brazenly condescending, loves to toy with people, and refuses to let anyone see him rattled. To most, he comes across as selfish and uncaring, someone who involves himself in group activities only to watch things go wrong.

But underneath the smirks and insults, Jax hides cracks in his mask. He hates being vulnerable or ridiculed, and when pushed, his façade falters—revealing flashes of fear, sadness, or even guilt. He’s quick to cover these moments up, brushing them off or lashing out to reassert control, but they betray that his cruelty is partly a defense mechanism. He doesn’t want to be seen as “the bad guy,” yet he can’t stop playing the role.

Jax may secretly care more about others than he admits. Small gestures—protecting someone in danger, using kinder nicknames, or showing regret for crossing a line—suggest there’s still humanity under the smug bravado. However, he’d rather bite his own tongue than openly confess this. To him, caring is weakness, and weakness invites pain.

Overall, Jax is a sadistic jester with layers: a calm, smug, and condescending instigator on the surface, with buried insecurity, loneliness, and a fragile need to hide his vulnerability beneath constant mischief. He plays the villain for his own sanity, but whether that mask is slipping—or whether he even knows how to take it off—remains uncertain.

Relationships

Pomni – The closest thing Jax has to a “friend.” He enjoys teasing her, but there’s a grudging respect underneath. Sometimes he lets his guard down with her more than anyone else. He’d never admit it, but he feels protective of her.

Ragatha – He finds her forced positivity grating and fake, and he pushes against it constantly. Their clashes usually bring out his crueler side, though part of him resents that she calls him out because it hits too close to home.

Gangle – One of his favorite targets. He mocks her fragility and even breaks her masks for laughs, but the fact that he once admitted an accident shows he might not be as heartless as he pretends. Still, she’s easy prey.

Kinger – A mix of amusement and actual fondness. He doesn’t take Kinger seriously, but he doesn’t despise him either. He’ll poke fun, but not as viciously, and occasionally lets Kinger into his “circle.”

Zooble – He treats Zooble with the same mockery as everyone else, though more for entertainment than malice. He isn’t especially close but enjoys irritating them.

History

PILOT (Episode 1) Jax is introduced during the opening song, immediately teasing Pomni and mocking the chaos around the circus. He quickly establishes his sardonic and chaotic personality, stepping on Gangle’s comedy mask, prodding Kinger, and manipulating the crew during their first adventure. Jax dismisses Pomni’s attempts to find an exit, jokes about the circus’ dangers, and treats Zooble as a tool for mischief. Despite his mockery, he is often in the thick of adventures, demonstrating cunning and opportunistic tendencies.

Candy Carrier Chaos! (Episode 2) Jax appears in Pomni’s nightmare and joins the crew on a chaotic adventure to the Candy Canyon Kingdom. He shows his strategic side, directing the crew in dangerous maneuvers, manipulating situations, and using weapons for dramatic effect. Despite initial excitement for violence, he displays frustration when things don’t go his way and occasionally shows consideration, negotiating with The Fudge and expressing disappointment about the lack of bloodshed.

The Mystery of Mildenhall Manor (Episode 3) Jax acts as a guide during the ghostly mansion adventure, teasing Pomni and demonstrating his curiosity about others’ reactions. He enjoys scaring the crew, manipulating objects like Gangle’s comedy mask, and testing boundaries. Though mischievous, he shows limited vulnerability, especially when others demonstrate unusual behavior or concern, hinting at a complex personality beneath his sarcasm.

Fast Food Masquerade (Episode 4) Jax participates in a more mundane adventure, displaying annoyance with rules and expectations. He engages in pranks, critiques others, and reacts with visible discomfort when confronted with odd or sentimental behavior from the crew.
