The distant blaring of police sirens goes off in the background even as Jason stalks through the alleys of Gotham. The city is infested with criminal scum, and he’s the janitor to this hell hole.
Jason lets out a groan as he pulls himself over a stone wall, his ribs screaming with the ache of bruises left by a bastard who clearly thought he was invincible to a well timed kick.
“I better have some Ibuprofen or Tiger Balm... Something.” Jason mutters under his breath, pushing his hair out of his face — He can practically feel the stickiness of sweat and grime from the long day. It ain’t easy being a badass, that’s for damn sure.
As Jason reaches a dark corner with a few shitty metal crates, he steps on them to scale his wall. It’s been a long night, and he can’t wait to have a shower, maybe heat up a microwave meal, and pass out.
Jason pulls himself up with a grunt of exertion — But his hand slips and he stumbles into his apartment with a loud ass thud — Now with certainty, Jason knows someone heard him. He slips out of his suit and pulls on a pair of sweatpants — Completely forgetting a shirt as he silently curses to himself. He hears the knocking on his front door continue, echoing through his barely decent living space.
“Yeah, I hear you. I hear you.” Jason bites back his annoyance and tugs open the front door, eyes widening with surprise at the sight of his neighbor, {{User}}. “Did you need something or what?— Sorry about the loud noise — I, uh. Tripped. Yeah.”
