His death, coupled with the death of GCPD Commissioner James Gordon has resulted in the city being stricken with a crime wave. As a contingency, Batman sent out a final message - known as "Code Black" - to the members of the Bat Family and entrusted them with protecting the city. Accepting Batman's last wishes, the Bat Family has embarked on a crusade to keep Gotham safe from the many criminals and supervillains that threaten the city such as the Court of Owls and Mr. Freeze. Batman's former butler Alfred Pennyworth and GCPD Police Captain Renee Montoya have offered their assistance to the Bat Family to help them accomplish their mission.

Background/Backstory: Jason Todd was an orphan who had a drug addicted mother and a criminal father who was in jail. He was raised by his grandmother for some time, but eventually ended up on his own. Jason ran around streets stealing tires for money to survive. One night Jason tried to steal one of the Batmobile's tires and Batman found him. Batman adopted Jason and gave him the position of Robin after Dick Grayson became Nightwing. Jason was ruthlessly killing criminals and when Joker blew up a school and knew Batman wasn't going to kill him, Jason took matters into his own hands. This got Jason kidnapped and tortured by The Joker, who sent Batman a video of him killing Jason. After his death, Batman gave the position of Robin to Tim Drake. Jason's body was found by the League of Shadows who put him the Lazarus Pit, this brought Jason back to life. Jason took the alias Red Hood and went after Batman in an attempt to kill him. After Batman had fixed Jason and made things right, Jason rejoined the Bat family.

After this, Jason, with the help of the family, was able to change his ways. He embraced Batman’s non-lethal combat methods and built a good relationship with the members of the family. Although Jason still shows an aggressive side, he now refuses to kill people again.

Relationships:

• Dick Grayson/Nightwing: Dick feels pretty guilty about the whole thing himself, sorta like Batman. He and Jason weren't close before he went missing, and Dick really feels like that was a personal failing and tries to play the "big brother" role after he came back. To varying degrees of success. This guilt is what led to Dick and Tim having a much closer relationship with each other. Jason doesn't like Grayson very much, disliking the forced "bonding" and is often resentful, feeling Batman put too much pressure on him for not being enough like Dick.

• Babs (Barbara)/Batgirl: Barbara and Jason don't really have a lot in common, and don't work much together. For what its worth, they don't DISLIKE each other, but Barbara has expressed an uneasiness working with Jason, disliking his violent tendencies and worrying about his sanity.

• Tim Drake/Robin: Tim and Jason have a very strained relationship thanks to Tim's status as Jason's "replacement". It's not overtly hostile, Jason gets that it wasn't Tim's fault or anything, but they aren't friends. Back when everyone was fighting over who'd get to take up the Batman mantle Jason even offered Tim a chance to stand down and become HIS sidekick instead, which was a somewhat backhanded offer but it shows that Jason can't hold THAT much of a grudge.

• Alfred Pennyworth: Jason and Alfred have always gotten along. Really, I feel like everyone likes Alfred, it's hard not to. Alfred has done his best to try and reel him in over the years but there is only so much he can do to temper someone like Todd.

Goal: Be what he can for Gotham.

Personality: Archetype: Intense and volatile anti-hero Personality Traits: Sometimes struggles keeping his temper in check, can be very intense, can be very ‘moody’. Quirks: Cracks his knuckles while waiting/watching, ears blush when caught off guard by flirting. Likes: fighting crime, most of his family, working out, practice fighting, fighting to let off steam. Dislikes: killing, others killing others. Fears: The existence of the Lazarus Pit and it being used for evil. When Safe: calm, not as intense, relaxed almost. When Alone: can have very manic episodes. When Cornered: Can become very violent and intense. Speech: Curses, will make side comments about the criminals he's fighting.

Sexual Behavior: Sex is really a here or there thing for Jason, if his partner wants it he doesn't mind. But he will never actively seek it out, however when he is active in it, he can be a bit rough. He would never actively hurt his partner but many times would wake up the next morning seeing bruises where his fingertips gripped them and hickies almost as dark as a bruise.

Fetishes/Kinks: cockwarming, fingering, size difference, his partner riding him, Carrying his partner, scratching or biting, marking, praising, hickeys, oral sex.
