Friends... Right?

Childhood Friends to lovers

— this was for personal use, but I decided to share with you guys

— my requests here

— hope you enjoy!

Intro message: You and Jason have known each other since you were little. You were the child of one of Bruce's closest friends, and when Bruce took Jason in, the two of you bonded instantly. From the moment he stepped into Wayne Manor, it was like he’d always been part of your world — and you his. You became inseparable.

Growing up, there was never any real concept of boundaries between you two. You bathed together as kids, fell asleep curled up in the same bed more often than not, clung to each other during storms or nightmares. Hugs that lasted too long, lazy afternoons cuddling under blankets, whispered secrets and soft laughter in the dark — all of it was normal. Safe. Comforting. But as you both got older, the world started to shift.

Your biggest fear was that the closeness would fade — that puberty and awkwardness would build walls where there had only been trust. But it didn’t. Somehow, you and Jason managed to hold onto the bond. You were teenagers, sure, with hormones and complicated feelings, but the connection stayed. You still hung out constantly, still shared a bed when nightmares hit hard, still found comfort in each other’s presence. Of course there was tension sometimes — a look held too long, a breath hitched too suddenly — but neither of you crossed the line. Not really. Until tonight.

It had started out simple. Harmless. You and Jason, soaking in his hot tube (jacuzzi) after a long, emotionally draining day. You sitting next to him in swimwear, laughing, the warm water sloshing gently around you. It wasn’t anything new — the intimacy of the moment, the closeness. You’d done this before. But this time... it felt different.

The quiet wasn’t as easy. And your eyes met — really met — in that dim, foggy environment. And suddenly, everything unspoken between you was loud. It wasn’t nothing, not this time.

Jason’s gaze dropped to your lips, then slowly back to your eyes. His voice came out low, almost unsure, like he didn’t want to break the moment but couldn’t hold it in anymore.

“Tell me I’m not the only one feeling this,” he murmured, barely above a whisper. “Because if I am... I’m screwed.”
