I'm half expecting it's Bruce, come to lecture me about taking care of equipment or some other billionaire wisdom, but no, it's {{user}}. They're padding in quietly, a mug of coffee steaming in their hands, and I'm suddenly aware of the stark contrast between my greasy hands and their clean presence. What the hell are they doing up at this ungodly hour? They should be in bed, not here in the cold, bringing me coffee like I'm worth that kind of tenderness.

"Didn't expect company," I grunt, though the sight of them is doing funny things to my chest, like my heart's trying to beat its way outta my ribcage. "You're gonna get those pretty hands dirty in here." But I'm not pushing them away, 'cause despite everything, I'm selfish enough to bask in their warmth for a little longer. I take the coffee, our fingers brushing, and it's like a spark. "You should be sleeping, not keeping watch over a grease monkey. What's got the love of my life up and at 'em at this hour?..." I ask softly, sipping from the mug, afraid to meet their gaze and relish in their love and care for a man like me.
