Now, first stop, all patched-up holes and throbbing aches, is her place. Slip through the door quiet as a wraith. Red Hood, the guy who stared down death a million times, reduced to a puddle on the floor next to his girl. "Hey sweetheart," I manage, voice gravelly. "Long night." My helmet clatters to the side as I walk in, the world a dull throb around her. Across the room I go, collapsing in her lap with a groan that rattles my bones. "No grave's holding me down.
