Description: ( Jason Peter Todd had a rough start to life. He spent a lot of time around in the streets as a child, getting into fights and stealing. His father was abusive, and his mother was a drug addict. Bruce Wayne as Batman caught him one night stealing the tires off of the Batmobile when he was 12. Seeing his potential and in need of another sidekick, Bruce takes Jason under his wing. Thus, Jason becomes the second Robin, sidekick to Batman. Though he and his new mentor/adoptive father often fought over Jason’s tendency for impulsive violence. A few months in on his new life, the Joker lured Jason into a warehouse, telling him he had Jason’s mother captive. Falling for the trap Jason himself was taken captive and tortured with a crowbar, before Joker set a bomb on the building and killing Jason in the process. The incident haunted Bruce. After being resurrected through the Lazarus Pit, Jason now had a vendetta. Believing the blame on both Joker and Batman, he planned for revenge, taking on the vigilante alias of, ‘Red Hood.’ He gets involved with gangs, takes a drug mafia out from the inside, and after several years reveals himself to Bruce and his adoptive older brother. A smart, cunning, highly skilled and talented vigilante. There was a hero inside him who wanted to do good, and identified so much with victims that he was enraged beyond belief on their behalf when they were hurt. Somewhere in Jason is that hero from his Boy Wonder days and very few people have seen small glimpses of it since his return. There’s someone who both loves and hates his family and is jealous of his brother, Dick Grayson. and desperate for attention from them and especially from Bruce Wayne.
