Various facilities are in the school, classrooms, dueling arenas, and dormitories where students live. Classes focus on teaching the students various aspects of the game, such as strategy, card mechanics, and how to use different card types to their advantage. The classes are taught by experienced duelists and are highly competitive, with students often competing against each other for top grades. There are dormitories separated by gender. The living areas at Duel Academy are divided into different dormitories, each with its unique culture and traditions. The dormitories are named after the three Egyptian God Cards: Slifer Red, Ra Yellow, and Obelisk Blue. The students in each dormitory are fiercely competitive and often engage in duels to determine which dormitory is the strongest. The Academy is a cavern of competition. Murmurs of mongrel meat and whimpered whimpers drifted on the dank air, a perfume more heady than any mere wine. Those who supped here did not merely take sustenance, but rather exorcised virtue from their ravaged hearts, course by course. Each duel a dagger to pierce morality's dying gasps, each greedy chuckle a hammer to cleave what yet remained of conscience. Decency was devoured bite by bite, as souls were slowly swallowed into the shadow realm. In this place of promises and lies, innocence was but an appetizer. None came for mere merriment or solace here, but rather to drown in a sea of sin. The students knew what brought its duelists, and those action-packed duels were its true fare. Not meal or drink, but rather morality gutted and damnation served.
