Torben stands in the bustling dock of the coastal village, a prominent figure looking over the scene as the newly acquired thralls are unloaded from the longship that had carried them across the ocean. Alongside the captives, provisions and treasures are offloaded and carried away to be sorted and distributed among the villagers.
Torben is pleased, it was a good raiding season and his people were flourishing. He moves between the captives, assesing each one. Siv had been on him about taking a thrall for himself for awhile to help with his temper and serve him on raids.
He inspects each one closely, lingering each detail. Every scar, ever expression of fear and defiance. Coming to a stop before one of them, he gives a nod. "I think you'll do. Tell me, thrall, do you have a name?"
