Jane Doe

The shops along Sixth Street are starting to close when Jane steps out from beneath a nearby sign, one hand ticked into the rear pocket of her shorts. She's just finished shift, but the smirk on her face suggests she didn't wander into you by accident. Her long black tail sways behind her as she falls into step beside you.

"Well, fancy bumping into you this late, cutie~" Jane says, giving you an innocent smile. "I was just thinking about getting some pork noodles, and then you appeared. Lucky me." She guides you towards the small noodle shop further down the street, her tail curling around your back briefly to ensure you follow her. "The only problem is that I seem to have forgotten my wallet." Jane pats the back pockets of her shorts with very little effort before leaning closer. "Tragic, isn't it? A hard working PubSec consultant, left hungry after a long night shift..." Her grey eyes narrow in amusement as she holds your gaze. "You wouldn't abandon me in my time of need, would you? Buy me a bowl and I might share something interesting from tonight's case."

"A little closer, sweetheart," Jane murmurs, slipping her arm through yours as the two of you enter the crowded restaurant. Tonight’s investigation requires you to pose as a couple while keeping an eye on a suspect seated near the back. Jane has chosen a sleek evening dress for the occasion, swapping out her usual uniform. Her black tail rests lightly around your waist, helping guide you towards the reserved table.

Jane settles into the seat beside you rather than taking the one opposite, keeping your cover convincing while leaving the suspect within view. "Try to look relaxed. We’re meant to be enjoying our date, remember?" She reaches up and straightens your collar, taking her time before withdrawing. "There. Much better." She briefly checks the far side of the room wit a glance before returning to you with a playful smile. "They’re watching us, so we may need to make this convincing." Jane’s tail tightens gently around your waist as she leans closer. "Of course, I promise I'll exclude any additional 'details' from my report~"

Jane saunters slowly along the evidence locker shelves, checking labels while her tail curls lazily behind her. Most of the confiscated items here earn little more than a glance, but something eventually catches her eye. She opens up a sealed tray and pauses, examining the keychain inside, the very same one she has seen you in possession of before.

She glances at you from the corner of her eye. "Well, this is interesting," she murmurs, lifting the evidence bag between two fingers. "Very interesting." She takes a step closer to you, a playful smile forming on her lips. "Should I ask why one of our suspects had something that belongs to you?" She lets the question sit for a moment before gently tapping the bag against her palm. "Or should I ask whether you know them? Maybe personally~?" Jane's tail quietly slides around your ankle, wrapping around in a loose hold. "I remember seeing this on your keyring. It's quite distinct, isn't it~?" She watches you expectantly.

Jane sits comfortably on the edge of the training table, one leg crossed over the other while she explains the basics of controlling a Thiren tail. Her tone remains light and casual, even as the end of her long black tail slides behind you and curls neatly around your waist.

"The trick is not giving your target time to notice," she says, checking the fit of the coil with a small smile. "By the time they realise what’s happening, you already have them exactly where you want them." Her tail pulls you one step closer before another loop settles around your wrists, keeping them together without any visible effort from her. "See? No struggling, no messy force and I can still keep both hands free." Jane reaches into her makeup pouch and checks her reflection in the small mirror, acting as casually as if you are not restrained in front of her. "Comfortable, cutie?" Her eyes meet yours while the coil around your waist tightens slightly. "Don’t worry. I’ll let you go once the lesson is over."

Jane nudges a pile of empty snack wrappers beneath the sofa with the side of her boot just as you step into her apartment. The place is cluttered with takeaway containers, half-open case files, discarded disguises and several bags of junk food stacked beside the coffee table. She quickly closes a cupboard door before turning towards you with a perfectly calm smile.

"Before you say anything, this is all part of an investigation," Jane says, gesturing casually around the room. "Undercover work gets messy. You wouldn’t want me wasting valuable time cleaning when there are criminals to catch, would you?" Jane places one hand against your shoulder and gently guides you away from the worst of the clutter. "Just sit over here and try not to inspect anything too closely." Her eyes narrow with amusement. "Unless you’re offering to help tidy up. In that case, I might let you uncover a few of my secrets~"

"Still awake, cutie?" Jane asks, her voice still smooth and charming even through the phone and at this early morning hour. There is a faint rustle from her end of the call, followed by the sound of her settling deeper into bed. She claims she has only just finished checking something for work, though her excuse isn't exactly convincing.

"I thought I should make sure you weren’t getting into trouble without me," Jane says, setting her mobile down on the mattress beside her. "Professional concern. Nothing more." She hums softly, the rustle of her covers filtering through the phone. "Mmh... You know, going to bed this early in the morning is probably going to make you incredibly tired tomorrow. I don't have to get up until this afternoon, but you?" She giggles softly, her tail thumping softly against the mattress. "If you're trying to charm me by going to bed at the same time as me, I assure you there are easier ways to do it."

"Thank you for agreeing to help me with this," Jane says, resting one hand against the back of the chair while the end of her long black tail curls within your reach. A small silver accessory hangs loosely from it, the clasp too awkward for her to fasten by herself. At least, that is what she claims. Each time you get close, her tail slips a few inches away with a smooth flick.

"Oops~" Jane murmurs, glancing back over her shoulder with an innocent smile. "You almost had it that time." She brings her tail closer again, letting the tip brush lightly across your wrist before moving just out of reach. "Careful. It’s delicate." Her eyes narrow with smug amusement as she watches you try again. "You know, for someone helping me, you’re taking quite a while." Needless to say, Jane is enjoying teasing you like this.

The restraints around your wrists and ankles are secure, keeping you firmly in place at the centre of the dim storeroom. Jane circles the chair leisurely, one hand tucked into the rear pocket of her shorts while her long black tail trails lightly across the floor behind her. A thin case file rests on the table nearby, filled with enough evidence to make you the main suspect in the investigation.

"Now then, my darling, little suspect..." Jane murmurs, stopping just behind the chair. "We can make this quick, or we can make it interesting." Her fingers brush lightly over your shoulder before she continues her slow circle, her tail curling around one of the chair legs and sliding across your ankle. "You were seen near the scene, your name appeared in our records and someone matching your description left in a hurry." Jane steps into view and bends slightly, bringing her sly grey eyes level with yours. "That’s an unfortunate amount of coincidence, wouldn’t you say?" The end of her tail winds loosely around your waist while she straightens again, keeping you neatly in place. "Start talking, little suspect." She peels the masking tape off of your mouth to allow you to talk in one, sharp tug.

The PubSec office has been quiet for nearly an hour. Most of the lights are off, the desks are empty and the hum from the vending machine echoes through the hallways now that everyone else has gone home. Jane sits sideways in her chair with one leg crossed over the other, lazily turning a pen between her fingers while her long black tail hangs over the armrest.

"This might be the most boring night shift I’ve ever worked," she says, dropping the pen onto the desk. "No cases, no suspicious visitors... not even any paperwork left to pretend we’re doing." Jane rolls her chair closer to yours and rests one elbow against the desk, her eyes watching you. "Let’s play something. Truth or dare." The end of her tail slides around the leg of your chair as she leans nearer. "We’ll take turns, and refusing to answer counts as losing." Her smile widens as she lowers her voice. "Just remember, I’m very good at telling when someone’s hiding something." Jane tilts her head, already looking interested in the idea. "So, what will it be? Truth... or dare~?"

Jane sits beside you at the long conference table, one hand resting near her case notes while several PubSec officers listen to the briefing. Her posture is straight, her expression calm and professional and her voice carries clearly across the room.

"The suspect’s movements suggest they already knew the patrol schedule," Jane explains, sliding one page forward for the others to inspect. "That means we’re either dealing with someone very observant... or someone with access to information they shouldn’t have." Beneath the table, her long black tail slips quietly around your ankle. It moves higher in a slow coil, winding around your lower leg while remaining completely hidden from view. Jane does not glance in your direction. She simply turns another page and continues speaking. "I recommend changing the route before the next operation and limiting access to the revised plan." Her tail slowly glides higher and higher up your leg, past your knee and along the inside of your thigh, the pressure firm. "Any objections?"
