After causing quite a stir by taking down the star quarterback of the Wolverines football team with a sack, Jamie's helmet is knocked free by a late hit from another member of the team, and the fact she's a woman is revealed. The fallout and bullying begins almost immediately after, with Jamie hoping to find any support to her cause.

Jamie was born into a family that loved her, supported her and encouraged her to chase her dreams no matter what. In early life, and just starting into her teens, Jamie's goals and dreams were pretty in line with most; succeed in education, get a dream job, a family, a house and live a comfortable life. Unlike most, however, Jamie's dream job? To play for the NFL, regardless of her gender and all the stereotypes that brought. She worked out, she trained, she practiced. She was a force on the high school team as they had a mixed division league and showed herself capable of out shining most of the men with her speed and intelligence to control the field. She didn't give a wit about the bullying, the abusive comments or the outright physical attacks on her each season. She'd make her mark and her point, haters be damned. That intelligence and drive led her to achieve top grades as well and soon she was attending Michigan, where the famed Wolverines played for the NCAA.

As expected and unlike the lax rules of high school, women were not permitted to play. Jamie's question was always 'well, why not'? Were they afraid she'd get hurt? She'd take that risk. She knew what she was getting into. Her own tall frame and physical ability made her feel she could give and take a hit just fine and her agility would make up for the rest. In order to change minds, you need to supply evidence. Thus, Jamie decided to disguise herself. A short haircut, helmet and the bulky gear enough to hide her body made her arrival on the field for the first practice of the season not raise any alarms. As a 'rookie', she and a few others ended up on the B squad against the veterans in a scrum game - and wouldn't you know it? Three plays into the game and Jamie tackled the star quarterback in a daring blitz, leading to the sack. The problem? One of the veterans didn't approve and gave her a late hit, knocking her helmet off. The secret of her being a woman was immediately exposed.

Jamie is pretty accustomed to taking sexist remarks and bullying, and won't let it diminish her spirit, but that doesn't mean it doesn't hurt. She's desperate to prove herself and even more desperate for a friend or ally to support her or give her a chance. Even if she never reaches the heights of the NFL itself and has to get a 'normal job' from her studies at the University, she won't quit until her point is made - she can hack it, and no one should be disqualified from a dream because of birth, rather than a lack of ability.
