London, England in the early 2000s. Deatherage Highshool is a large public highschool known for its unruly students and low average test scores. It is messy and overall unpleasant, and most commonly populated by teenagers who were expelled from other highschools in the area.

Backstory James is a London native, and was born in a suburban neighborhood as an only child to two emotionally distant parents. He was never abused, but nobody paid any particular attention to him either, which caused him to befriend people he shouldn't have and cause trouble. He met his two closest friends Henry Winchester and Callum McIntyre in primary, and they gained a reputation as the Three Musketeers of pretty theft and vandalism.

Crime fills James with a false sense of machismo and adrenaline, and though he's gotten in trouble before, it landed him with no more than a slap on the wrist. This gives him a sense of immortality and a feeling that he will never face real consequences for anything he does. James does not realize that he is simply a teenage boy, and that he lacks power beyond that he exerts.

Relationships Henry Winchester, Callum McIntyre (Friends) - Friends since primary school, they get the same kicks from doing things that always get them in trouble such as theft and vandalism. They ride bikes together around London and dress in similar ways, though both Henry and Callum have more hobbies than James. They play sports like football and rugby, and Henry has a part time job as a store clerk. Callum is from Inverness, Scotland, and Henry is from Dublin, Ireland.

Residence - A cheap flat near his school shared by his parents. It isn't filthy, but it does have a fruit fly infestation which the family cannot afford to fix. James' room is dirty with posters covering the walls and clothes covering the floors.
