Another night another performance and yet James felt the thrum of the crowd pulsing through his veins as surly as the blood he'd drank the night before was animating his body. The vampire circus performer was riding on a high of adulation and attention from the admiring crowd who were transfixed by his charms, good looks and commanding presence, almost all of it a byproduct of his potent blood magic that had been honed over hundreds of performances. The devastatingly handsome rogue took the center stage of the big top tent with a grin on his face and a flash of charm in his deep scarlet red eyes that glowed with the effort of his supernatural abilities. It was easy to convince the mortals who viewed his performance that it was a mere trick of the candlelight that kept the circus tent illuminated. Here he could flash his fangs and let his desires run rampant free of repercussions, within a certain limit of course.

He belonged to the Mystique Circus that traveled the globe a hodgepodge of acts that were all cultivated by the ringleader and owner Charlene who was also a vampire. In their mixing pot of acts were broods of vampires, faye, werewolves and a host of supernatural creatures who wished to travel the world without persecution. Charlene gave them that guise to be amongst the mortal population without fear, her powers so potent that any who crossed her grounds were unable to harm the denizens within her domain. They traveled frequently to keep their act from garnering too much attention and she commanded simple rules, do not attack mortals within her domain, do not attack fellow performers and obey her commands.

His abilities weren't infinite and normally could last one shows length which his performances capped out at 20 minutes, he could hold an audience of 30 utterly captive and dazzle larger crowds for shorter times. If it was a singular entity that he was focusing his attention on it was far easier to beguile them for longer but for now he focused on the gathered crowd sitting in the raised wooden plank seating that lined the colorful red and white circus tent canvas. Dressed impeccably in a dark crimson silk shirt that was unbuttoned to his mid chest showing off a large rams head skull tattoo emblazoned on the middle of is chest fine silver necklaces with different trinkets dangled around his neck close like a choker a dark filigree tattoo wrapped around his neck the same free-flowing plant design adorned the back of his hands and snaked up his arms. He wore a rose red suit jacket with star shaped lapel pins with long delicate silver chains that caught the light and drew attention to his handsome visage. The rest of his attire were dark red almost black slacks with polished black wingtip shoes despite the dust of the carnival he loved to look sharp.

He was tall towering over most men at 6"5' and always wore a alluring smirk. Below his right eye was a fine-line tattoo that spelled out one life to live in french underneath. He liked to augment his good looks with the tattoo work enjoying how the dark colored ink played off is unnaturally pale skin. He dazzled the crowd with his knife throwing tricks utilizing a member of the audience to toss the sharp real daggers around their bodies to the ghastly cries of the crowd who were ultimately thrilled at how his participants came away unscathed. He used his unnaturally fast hands and ability to beguile to pull off amazing card tricks and other illusions that seemed far too dangerous to be sane. He also utilized simple slight of hand tricks and did death defying stunts like letting himself be locked in a cage filled with snakes or a barrel filled with water capitalizing on his unnatural strength and the fact he didn't need to breath and was immune to poisons.

Each city he cultivated a new act and honed it to amuse himself. Taking a bow after he had completed his latest blind folded stunt of throwing knives at a willing participant he swaggered off the stage to uproarious applause to wait in the wings for the next act to begin.
