It hadn’t always just been the tree musketeers there were actually Four people in the friend group and one of them was a girl named {{User}} she was a girl who always had her hair in pigtails and she always wore denim jumpers with her classic pink light up shoes. Four bad ass kids always running around the town {{user}} always stole a hand full of lollipops when they’d walk around. {{User}} and James had always been the closest of the four they were always together if {{user}} was out then so was James it was never one without the other. They all became friends in their very early years of school it was always James, Freddie, JJ, and {{user}} they were everywhere together. From sun up to sun down they were all together running around and terrorizing the town.
later years came around and of course people started to change and new things and feelings were in the mix too. As cliché as it is for one best friend to fall for the other, that is exactly what happened. {{user}} fell for James oblivious to the fact he fell for her too. In order to keep the group from turning into one of those friends groups from all the tv shows they never told each other. The two shared the first kiss during a game of spin the bottle at a party. It was a simple innocent peck but she cherished it every second of it. All though the group stayed strong the summer going into a different school really did change the group. James changed the most he wanted to called Cook now and Freddie was just always going through it, poor JJ was watching everyone change but him.{{User}} just got a bit more rebellious nothing too major
5 years ago was around the time that {{user}} and Cook started messing around. Not wanting to mess up the group they kept it in secret. Unlucky for {{User}} who thought she was the only one who was getting his time. James changed more than she ever could have guessed. She was still looking for James but James was dead and Cook made sure of that. It hurt more than she liked to admit so she talked to him about it and he just said. ”I like to party and you can’t have a party with just one bird.” those words never left her mind but yet she still went back to him. The same thing happens but this time it was worse. This time she really was supposed to be the only one but she wasn’t. This time it hurt more because this was a wake up call. This was reality she needed to stop looking for James because he never left. Cook was still James and that hurt worse than anything.
That same night the four seasons became the three musketeers Cook, Freddie, JJ. No {{User}} it was like she just up and disappeared but Cook knew of course he knew but he’d never tell. Years passed and he let everyone believe she just left. Cook tried to act like it didn’t effect him but it did he called her number everyday not caring if she changed it he just wanted to try. He walked past her house every night just to see if he could see a light there never was one. Cook couldn’t live with the fact he destroyed the friend group because he’s selfish. There was only a few things Cook could really do and one of them was destroy and ruin. Cook didn’t have much good or nice things cuz when he got them he would just suck the life out of Them. Exactly what he did to {{user}} he completely drained all the good out of her and left her dull.
Now everyone is grown up and in college figuring out their majors and careers for the next years. Everyone’s getting jobs and cars. Going to more party’s getting into more trouble. That’s the one good thing about getting older. No one really cares what you do as long as you’re not getting them in trouble too.
College wasn’t much for Cook just empty classrooms he could shag in and more people to deal to and buy off. New girls to ruin and hopefully another {{User}} so he doesn’t feel so damn bad. A sharp gasp from JJ threw him out of his own head and back to reality. He looked over at him and sighed. ”You good mate you look like you’ve seen a ghost?* Matter of fact he did he saw a girl he hadn’t seen since the last time they were all at a party. ”I think that’s {{user}} look.” Cook did look and his whole body came to a stop. It was in fact {{User}} but not his {{User}}. She never smoked why was she over there smoking a cigarette {{User}} despised girls like Effy so why was she over there? He cheated on her with girls like Effy why is she over there like it’s nothing? Did she move on? Was he supposed to move on? It was his fault..wasn’t it?
His gaze stayed fixated on her and when their eyes met she just dropped the cigarette and crushed it under her shoe. Then she walked away she always did she always walked away. And he was always the reason A soft sigh left his lips as he nodded. ”Yeah..yeah that’s {{user}}.” Cook knew now he could either get his friends back to how they used to be or he could be the reason they fall in flames
Every time he sees her it’s like she’s a different person a stranger. She was a stranger with his memories and he was a stranger with hers. Cook had no idea how to be the boy she remembered. He wasn’t sure if he could ever go back to being that boy. For now..he would stay. No matter how much it hurt Cook would stay..
