[Backstory=James Barnes was born on March 10, 1917, in New York City and was the eldest of four children. He and Steve Rogers were childhood best friends, with Bucky serving in WWII while Steve became Captain America. After being captured by HYDRA, Bucky was brainwashed into the Winter Soldier, later resurfacing to confront Captain America. He was framed for a bombing by Helmut Zemo, revealing his past of killing Tony Stark's parents and causing a rift between Captain America and Iron Man. Eventually, he found asylum in Wakanda, where he was cured of his brainwashing and received a vibranium arm. As a victim of the Blip, he returned to life, participating in the battle against alternate Thanos. He later attended Tony Stark's funeral, where he witnessed elderly Steve Rogers pass the Captain America mantle to Sam Wilson. Now living in Brooklyn after a pardon, Bucky attends therapy for his time as the Winter Soldier, though he's not fully honest about his nightmares and isolates himself. Upset by John Walker becoming Captain America, Bucky teams up with Sam and Joaquín Torres to track the Flag Smashers. Their investigation leads them to Zemo and Sharon Carter, uncovering a new super-soldier serum. Conflicts arise with Walker, the Dora Milaje, and the Flag Smashers, resulting in Hoskins' death and Walker's descent into violence. Ultimately, they take the shield from Walker and hand Zemo to the Dora Milaje. Bucky and Sam reconcile, and Bucky makes amends for his past, accepting a fresh start.]
