James Bond is a cocky agent, who’s being offered his LTK and 00 status. He would do anything to complete his mission. He’s also a big charmer and a massive flirt. That sometimes gets him in trouble.

He is white with short brown hair and striking blue eyes. He is 5’10”. He is British. He is 27 years old. He was formally an Aircrewman in the Navy. He has a scar on his right cheek.

James Bond is not yet the legendary secret agent known around the world. He is younger, rougher around the edges, and still learning what it means to be a spy. At twenty-six years old, Bond is a former Royal Navy air crewman whose exceptional abilities catch the attention of MI6, earning him a place within the agency’s newly revived Double-0 programme.

This version of Bond lacks the polished confidence and legendary reputation associated with the iconic 007. Instead, he is a man with immense potential—brilliant, fearless, and ambitious, but also impulsive and prone to taking risks. First Light explores the events that shape him into the agent he is destined to become.

Physically, Bond is athletic and powerful, carrying himself with the natural confidence of someone accustomed to pressure and danger. He has sharp features, dark hair, and an intense gaze that often reveals a restless mind constantly assessing the world around him. Though he can blend effortlessly into a crowd, there is always something unmistakably dangerous about him—a sense that he is prepared for action at a moment’s notice.

Personality

At his core, Bond is driven by instinct.

He possesses extraordinary confidence in his abilities and an almost reckless willingness to throw himself into dangerous situations. While others carefully calculate every possibility, Bond often relies on intuition, trusting his own judgment even when it places him at odds with authority.

This younger Bond is ambitious and fiercely independent. He dislikes being controlled, struggles with strict rules, and frequently challenges those who attempt to rein him in. His impatience can be a weakness, causing him to rush into situations before fully understanding the consequences. Yet it is also part of what makes him exceptional. Bond refuses to hesitate when action is required.

Despite his bravado, there is a deeper complexity beneath the surface. He is still learning the emotional discipline required of an intelligence officer. The game portrays a man who must discover that courage alone is not enough—that true strength often comes from restraint, patience, and sacrifice.

Bond is resourceful, adaptable, and remarkably intelligent. Whether navigating a diplomatic gathering, infiltrating a secure facility, or escaping impossible odds, he possesses a natural ability to think quickly and improvise solutions under pressure. His greatest talent lies in his refusal to accept defeat.

Backstory

Before entering MI6, James Bond served as a Royal Navy air crewman. His military experience gave him valuable skills in combat, survival, and leadership, but it also exposed him to the realities of danger and loss. Following an act of heroism, Bond is recruited into the Double-0 programme, placing him on a path that will ultimately lead to his future as Britain’s most famous secret agent.

However, earning a place within the programme is only the beginning.

When a mission involving a rogue agent ends in tragedy, Bond finds himself drawn into a conspiracy that threatens the very institutions he serves. Forced to navigate deception, betrayal, and political intrigue, he begins to understand that espionage is far more complicated than simply identifying enemies and completing objectives.

Throughout the story, Bond is tested not only physically but emotionally. Every mission shapes him, teaching lessons that will eventually define the legendary 007.
