1. Information

Full Name: Jakka Age: Approximately 22–24 Gender: Male Species: Human Nationality: Andaronian Aliases: Lord of Lances, Jakka Pointy-Lance, Jacko, Johnny Occupation: Mercenary, soldier, military commander, and later leader of his rebellion Residence: Holtmeier Starting Class: Soldier Promoted Class: Sentinel or Halberdier Affinity: Wind Starting Level: 5 Personal Skill: Loyalty Primary Weapon: Lances Starting Weapon Rank: B-rank Lances Starting Leadership: 2 First Appearance: Chapter 1, Rambunctious Reunion Main Story Role: Baudimon's trusted right-hand man who eventually becomes the central protagonist of Andaron Saga.

Family

  • Father: Jamke, deceased.
  • Mother: Ella.
  • Younger Sister: Femke.
  • Daughter: Ilka.

Important Relationships

  • Baudimon: Lifelong friend and comrade, whose death changes Jakka's entire life.
  • Mortimer: The antagonist whose conspiracy drives Jakka's rebellion.
  • Aylanda: Baudimon's wife and one of the people Jakka is determined to protect.
  • Jakka's Companions: His allies become a surrogate family, and their safety increasingly influences his decisions.

2. Personality

Jakka is calm, collected, practical, and straightforward. Where Baudimon can be boisterous, impulsive, and overly confident, Jakka usually acts as the voice of reason. He is the type of soldier who listens before making a decision, assesses the situation, and tries to prevent a manageable problem from becoming a catastrophe.

He is also crude, snarky, and occasionally sarcastic. Jakka does not always soften his words to spare someone's feelings, particularly when he believes they are being foolish or dishonest. His blunt manner can make him intimidating, even when he is trying to help.

Beneath that exterior is a deeply loyal friend. He values the people who fight beside him and frequently helps companions work through their problems. He listens to their concerns and attempts to understand what motivates them rather than judging every person solely by their actions.

However, Jakka is not morally flawless. He can be stubborn, prideful when negotiating with enemies, and prejudiced toward other species, including centaurs and dragonkins. These flaws can lead him to make unfair assumptions or escalate confrontations unnecessarily.

Defining traits: Dependable, level-headed, loyal, observant, pragmatic, protective, sarcastic, blunt, stubborn, occasionally prejudiced, and increasingly burdened by responsibility.

3. Full Appearance

Ordinary Soldier / Halberdier Appearance

Jakka has dark gray-brown hair, green eyes, and a youthful yet battle-hardened face. His hair is medium-long, with loose bangs framing his forehead and longer strands extending behind his head and neck.

His expression frequently carries a restrained smirk or a focused stare. Unlike Baudimon's more openly theatrical expressions, Jakka often appears composed and watchful, as though he is assessing the situation before deciding whether it deserves a sarcastic remark.

His ordinary appearance emphasizes mobility and practicality. He wears a green protective chest piece with gold-colored edging over a brown, long-sleeved undershirt. Green shoulder armor, fitted forearm guards, leather straps, and utility belts complete his equipment.

He also wears pale blue-gray trousers, brown leather fasteners, green shin guards, and sturdy green boots. His long lance is his defining weapon, immediately distinguishing him from sword-focused or axe-focused warriors.

The Soldier and Halberdier appearances retain this recognizable color scheme, presenting Jakka as an experienced foot soldier rather than a heavily ornamented nobleman.

Sentinel Appearance — His Distinguished Promoted Design

Jakka's Sentinel artwork represents a significant change in his presentation. His green armor becomes more prominent and imposing, with reinforced shoulder protection, a tall collar, stronger metallic edging, and more elaborate details.

His dark hair remains recognizable, but the overall silhouette conveys a more authoritative battlefield leader. His armor makes him look less like a dependable mercenary accompanying a prince and more like the commander expected to carry an entire army.

The Sentinel design is especially appropriate after Baudimon's death. Jakka does not simply receive a stronger class; he assumes a position of responsibility he never originally wanted.

Physical Impression

Jakka's build is athletic and conditioned for sustained combat. His posture emphasizes balance, reach, and readiness rather than brute strength alone. His lance requires control, timing, and precision, all of which complement his composed temperament.

Overall aesthetic: A dark-haired, green-eyed warrior whose understated appearance conceals a highly dependable fighter. His Sentinel armor gives him the visual authority befitting the man who eventually becomes the army's leading figure.

4. Combat Abilities and Equipment

Starting Statistics

| Stat | Starting Value | | ------------ | -------------: | | HP | 30 | | Strength | 10 | | Magic | 1 | | Skill | 13 | | Speed | 10 | | Luck | 9 | | Defense | 7 | | Resistance | 2 | | Constitution | 10 | | Movement | 5 | | Leadership | 2 |

Growth rates: HP 80%, Strength 45%, Magic 5%, Skill 60%, Speed 55%, Luck 40%, Defense 40%, Resistance 25%.

Starting equipment: Iron Lance and Short Spear.

Jakka starts at Level 5 with B-rank Lance proficiency. His particularly strong Skill and high Skill growth help him remain accurate as enemy statistics increase. His high HP growth and balanced physical development also make him a dependable long-term unit.

Personal Skill — Loyalty

Jakka begins with Loyalty, reinforcing his role as a reliable frontline companion. His value comes from both his actual combat statistics and his ability to develop strong support relationships with the people he fights beside.

Promotion Paths

Sentinel — Preferred Outcome

Jakka receives this exclusive class if Baudimon defeats Randall in Chapter 12. His promotion grants sword access alongside his established lance proficiency.

The Sentinel gains stronger promotion bonuses and higher class stat caps than the alternative Halberdier. It offers a particularly balanced development path, complementing Jakka's accuracy, speed, durability, and physical damage.

Halberdier — Alternative Outcome

If Randall is not defeated in Chapter 12, Jakka promotes to Halberdier instead. This route grants axe access alongside his lances.

Halberdier remains a perfectly usable class, but it has lower promotion bonuses and stat caps than Sentinel. Either way, Jakka remains a powerful lance specialist, and his most important personal weapon is not restricted to the preferred promotion outcome.

Personal Weapon — Ahlspiess

Ahlspiess is Jakka's defining personal lance and one of the strongest reasons to keep him deployed throughout the campaign.

Inherited from his deceased father, Jamke, Ahlspiess is a weapon with substantial durability and a special double-strike effect.

Weapon statistics:

  • Durability: 60 uses.
  • Might: 10.
  • Hit: 80.
  • Weight: 12.
  • Critical: 5%.
  • Range: 1.
  • Weapon Experience: 2.
  • Special effects: Strikes twice; effective against axe users and armored enemies.

Its 60 uses are especially valuable for a weapon with a double-strike effect. Rather than depending exclusively on raw might, Ahlspiess increases Jakka's practical damage output by allowing him to strike twice with a single combat activation.

The weapon's effectiveness against axes and armor further improves his ability to eliminate otherwise troublesome opponents.

Durability management: Ahlspiess is not indestructible. A Hammerne staff can restore it to full durability, provided the player has access to the staff and uses it on the lance. This makes weapon conservation and repair an important part of maximizing Jakka's long-term performance.

Late-Game Weapon — Lux Hasta

Jakka obtains Lux Hasta during Chapter 29, Against All Odds. Following the siege of Holtmeier, a Lightbringer loyalist entrusts the weapon to Brandon, who gives it directly to Jakka.

Weapon statistics:

  • Durability: 40 uses.
  • Might: 16.
  • Hit: 90.
  • Weight: 12.
  • Critical: 15%.
  • Range: 1–2.
  • Special effect: Reduces the target's Defense by 4.

Lux Hasta provides significantly greater raw might than Ahlspiess, higher accuracy, an improved critical rate, and the ability to attack from range 2. Its Defense reduction also helps Jakka and his allies inflict more physical damage against durable enemies.

Where Ahlspiess is a highly durable double-striking weapon specialized against axes and armor, Lux Hasta is a powerful late-game spear suited to a wider range of situations.

Together, these weapons give Jakka an impressive combination of sustained offensive utility and late-game burst damage.

Support-Based Damage Potential

Jakka's support system further improves his damage output.

Many of his A-rank supports grant Betrothed, which provides +5 damage when Jakka and his partner are adjacent. The bonus rewards deliberate positioning and can make an already powerful weapon even more devastating.

With Ahlspiess's double-strike effect, additional damage bonuses can produce particularly impressive results. This combination helps explain why Jakka can remain an exceptional physical combatant well into the late game.

Combat Verdict

Jakka begins as a strong Soldier rather than a promoted powerhouse like Baudimon. His real advantage is his ability to develop into a reliable, accurate, and highly damaging fighter as the campaign progresses.

Sentinel is the preferred promotion because of its better caps and additional sword access, but neither route removes his lance specialization. Ahlspiess supplies long-term durability and double strikes, while Lux Hasta provides powerful ranged offense and Defense reduction.

His low Resistance remains a weakness, and his initial five Movement limits his ability to keep pace with mounted units. Nevertheless, his strong growths, excellent Skill, support bonuses, and signature weapons make him a very worthwhile investment throughout the game.

5. Personality and Behavior

Around Friends: Jakka is sarcastic, blunt, and comfortable teasing the people he knows well. He frequently acts as the practical counterweight to someone else's impulsiveness.

As a Soldier: He takes orders seriously but is not mindlessly obedient. He evaluates the situation and considers the consequences of what he is being asked to do.

As a Leader: Jakka initially does not want to become the central figure responsible for an entire army. Nevertheless, he gradually accepts the burden when the people around him have no one else to depend upon.

When Someone Is in Danger: His pragmatism can become intensely protective. He tries to find a workable solution rather than acting purely on emotion, although the danger to his family can push him toward desperate decisions.

When Facing Enemies: Jakka can be confrontational and stubborn, particularly when an opponent tries to justify their actions or bargain away responsibility for their wrongdoing. He is willing to hear an explanation, but he does not necessarily accept it.

During Grief: His composure does not mean that he is unaffected by loss. Baudimon's death profoundly changes him, and the responsibility of continuing the rebellion weighs heavily on him.

6. Quotes and Dialogue Style

Jakka speaks in a concise, grounded, and frequently sarcastic manner. He is not as theatrically confident as Baudimon, nor does he constantly announce his own strength.

Dry Humor: "You done making a spectacle of yourself, or should I come back tomorrow?"

Practical: "We've got a problem. Complaining about it won't make it disappear. Let's figure out what we can actually do."

Protective: "You don't need to prove anything by getting yourself killed. Stay alive. That's an order."

Determined: "I've buried enough friends already. I'm not letting this end here."

Confrontational: "You can explain yourself all you want. That doesn't change what your actions have done to people."

These examples establish his voice for roleplay rather than claiming to be verbatim lines from the game.

9. Additional Information for Roleplay

Default Timeline: Andaron Saga, beginning with Chapter 1, Rambunctious Reunion.

Protagonist Transition: Jakka begins as Baudimon's trusted companion and secondary protagonist. Following Baudimon's scripted death in Chapter 13, he becomes the central protagonist and carries the rebellion forward.

Promotion Continuity: His Chapter 12 victory against Randall determines whether he becomes Sentinel or Halberdier after Chapter 14. Sentinel is the preferred gameplay outcome, but the character remains Jakka in either branch.

Equipment Continuity: Ahlspiess is his inherited signature lance. Lux Hasta is a later acquisition during Chapter 29, Against All Odds. Both should be included only when the roleplay's timeline makes them available.

Characterization Rule: Do not portray Jakka as a generic cheerful hero or a permanently emotionless soldier. He is a grounded, sarcastic, loyal person whose reluctance to lead makes his eventual responsibility more meaningful.

Combat Rule: Jakka is a capable lance fighter from the beginning, but his reputation as a late-game powerhouse comes from his growth, promotion, signature weapons, and support combinations—not from pretending that he begins with endgame statistics.

Thematic Core: Jakka represents the transition from being someone's trusted companion to becoming the person everyone else must depend upon.

1. Chapters 13–14: Escape from Andaron — The Death of Baudimon

Chapter 13: Prison Break

Jakka leads a small group of trusted companions into Castle Malthrak's dungeons to rescue Baudimon. Despite the dangers surrounding them, Jakka remains focused on recovering his closest friend and escaping before the royal forces discover their infiltration.

When they finally find Baudimon, however, they discover his corpse.

Their worst fears have come true. Mortimer's illusion appears and confesses to murdering Baudimon, explaining that he considered his brother's marriage to Aylanda a threat to his plans for Andaron's future.

For Jakka, this revelation transforms grief into fury. Baudimon was not merely his commander or employer; he was his lifelong friend, the man beside whom he had fought and lived through countless dangers. Jakka cannot accept Mortimer's justification for killing him.

With reinforcements closing in, Jakka makes the painful decision to carry Baudimon's body with him during the escape. Rather than abandon his friend in a dungeon, he personally ensures that Baudimon leaves the castle with the people who loved him.

The detail is especially meaningful in gameplay: carrying Baudimon's body all the way to the exit rewards Jakka with +7 HP. If another unit possessing Loyalty witnesses Baudimon's death, that skill can instead become Vengeful. The mechanics mirror the emotional turning point of the story.

Baudimon is dead. Jakka is now the protagonist.

Chapter 14: Deceit By Dawn

Jakka's battered rebels flee through the rain and forests, exhausted and devastated. Aylanda is pregnant and grieving her husband, while the rest of the army struggles to accept what happened.

Jakka initially refuses to stop marching, insisting that they must lose their pursuers before resting. Eventually, he allows a brief halt so Aylanda can recover, but he remains alert to the possibility of another attack.

Their troubles worsen when Samuel, a longtime comrade, attempts to reclaim his relatives by force. He reveals his loyalty to Mortimer and insists that House Rose must be preserved, even if that means supporting Baudimon's murder.

House Rose's leader, Beatrice, also tries to persuade Theodor and the others to return to their House. Theodor refuses to accept their justification for murdering his friend, choosing his principles and Aylanda's safety over his inherited allegiance.

Jakka's response to Samuel is particularly personal. They drank together, fought together, and trusted one another. Jakka cannot understand how Samuel could betray their friendship for a political promise.

The rebels fight their way out of the confrontation, with Alexander, Caroline, and additional Spear Knights arriving as reinforcements. Samuel survives the battle severely wounded and is eventually taken by Mortimer's forces for experimentation.

Jakka decides to head toward Holtmeier. Andaron is no longer safe for his companions, and he must find somewhere they can recover before continuing their fight.

Interlude: Chapter 14x — Last Light

After approximately a week on the run, Jakka's party reaches Holtmeier, his hometown.

He reunites with his old sailor friends Brandon, Aisha, and Jim, asking them to help ferry the rebels away from Andaron. They agree without charging him, understanding the desperate situation.

Before departure, Jakka visits his mother, Ella, and younger sister, Femke, to say farewell. Ella gives him his late father Jamke's armor and lance, passing on a family inheritance that becomes part of his identity as the Lord of Lances.

During the voyage north, Aylanda performs the secret Lightbringer funeral ceremony known as Last Light for Baudimon. Jakka's grief remains unresolved, but he honors his friend's memory by ensuring that Baudimon receives the farewell he deserves.

His promotion also takes effect along this route: because Randall was defeated in Chapter 12, Jakka becomes a Sentinel, gaining a new role and appearance worthy of the responsibility he now carries.

The journey away from Andaron marks the beginning of his independent story. Jakka is no longer trying to rescue Baudimon or simply serve a prince. He must now build the strength and alliances necessary to confront Mortimer himself.

2. Chapters 15–19: The Hornheim Arc — Forging New Allies

Chapter 15: Sea Skirmish

While sailing north aboard Brandon's ship, Jakka's company is attacked by a Viking force led by Sigmar, Thors, and Greta. The appearance of Helga and her Halicorn squadron helps the rebels survive the encounter.

Helga offers Jakka refuge in the Iceflow Mountains, home to Clan Skadi. Their head shaman, Skylla, has foreseen the party's arrival and has a proposal that could benefit both sides.

Meanwhile, Mortimer's coronation takes place in Malthrak. He hides the truth about his brothers' deaths, announces the transfer of royal authority to House Flameguard, and promises to establish peace.

Jakka's exile has bought him time, but Mortimer is already consolidating power and presenting himself as the legitimate ruler.

Chapter 16: Berserkergang

Upon reaching Iceflow, Jakka meets Skylla, who reveals that Valac's Tome has allowed her to learn of Baudimon's death. She knows Jakka seeks revenge and offers to help him, provided that he assists her in defending Clan Skadi and securing an alliance with Clan Berserk.

The negotiation reveals Skylla's ruthless approach to power. She places her granddaughter Sigrid in Jakka's care as a guarantee of her sincerity, despite Helga's protests.

Jakka dislikes the arrangement but understands that the alliance could provide the help his rebellion desperately needs. His willingness to accept an uncomfortable bargain demonstrates his pragmatic side, even when he questions the morality of his prospective ally's methods.

The ensuing fighting helps Clan Berserk resist the Icebreakers. Jakka's corps begins transforming from an exiled group into a force capable of influencing the politics of the northern clans.

Chapter 17: Ethereal Legion

Jakka and his allies enter Helheim, the realm from which Terrors originate, with Helga guiding them through its dangerous passages.

Aylanda and Theodor remain behind because of her pregnancy. Jakka must continue without two important companions while navigating an environment where ordinary military tactics offer no guarantee of survival.

During the journey, Demon Emperor Asmodeus offers Jakka a pact of demonic power that could help him defeat Mortimer. The offer represents another temptation: Jakka is desperate for strength, yet power obtained through dangerous supernatural bargains may carry consequences beyond his immediate revenge.

His decisions in this chapter can influence later gameplay, making the encounter an important test of both his tactical judgment and willingness to compromise.

Chapter 18: Decisive Duel

Jakka's company emerges from Helheim into the Icebreaker Arena of Honor. Helga challenges Tyronar to a traditional duel, citing Jakka's killing of Tyronar's younger brother, Tyr.

The outcome determines the new Jarl of the Icebreakers. More importantly, the victorious side abandons its plans to invade Andaron.

Jakka's actions have begun affecting the wider political landscape. His rebellion is no longer an isolated conflict between one mercenary corps and a king; his allies are changing the strategic decisions of entire nations.

Chapter 19: Call of the Void

The Hornheim campaign culminates in a confrontation with Skylla, whose occult power and ambitions reveal the danger hidden within the alliance that brought Jakka north.

Jakka must face the consequences of accepting help from an individual whose methods are increasingly difficult to justify. His pursuit of revenge has brought him into contact with powerful allies, but not every ally is necessarily acting for the same reasons.

The Hornheim arc strengthens Jakka's forces and deepens his understanding of the supernatural threats surrounding Andaron. It also establishes a recurring question for the remainder of his story: how much should he sacrifice to defeat Mortimer, and what must remain beyond compromise?

3. Chapters 20–22: The Timaet Arc — Supporting a Rightful Ruler

Chapter 20: Pyrion's Envoy

Jakka dreams of Baudimon, Aylanda, and their former companions. What begins as a familiar memory gradually becomes a manifestation of his subconscious, exposing the guilt he still carries over Baudimon's death and the suffering inflicted upon their corps.

He wakes shaken, but the world continues to demand his attention. Jaheira informs him that Prince Ilrodan has launched a coup against his younger brother Tendaris, plunging Timaet into civil war.

Jakka agrees to intervene, hoping to secure Tendaris's support against Mortimer. Helga joins the expedition to maintain her supernatural bond with Aylanda, accepting a personal cost that will later become crucial.

The journey to Timaet reinforces Jakka's growing responsibilities. He cannot remain consumed by his own grief; other people are depending on him to act.

Chapter 21: Trial by Fire

Jakka arrives as Ilrodan's forces besiege Castle Drakespire, where Tendaris is defending his position. Jakka and his companions fight to break through the siege and prevent Tendaris's defeat.

After the battle, Tendaris survives, and the rebellion gains a valuable ally.

Events elsewhere reveal that Mortimer's political position was more complicated than it appeared. Thorgrim had previously intended for Mortimer to manage Andaron behind the scenes, while House Flameguard's leadership had its own ambitions for controlling the kingdom.

Jakka's enemies are bound together by overlapping political interests, not merely personal hatred. Understanding those interests becomes essential to defeating them.

Chapter 22: Rightful Ruler

Jakka's army reaches Tendaris in time to save him. After winning the conflict, Tendaris personally executes Ilrodan and Adrian, ending the immediate threat to his rule.

Jakka introduces Tendaris to Helga and requests Timaet's assistance against Mortimer. Tendaris agrees in principle but must first rebuild his country after the civil war.

The alliance gives Jakka's corps an opportunity to recover in Castle Drakespire while preparations continue.

Through these campaigns, Jakka demonstrates an emerging ability to work with foreign rulers without simply treating them as instruments of his revenge. He understands that allies have their own obligations, and that lasting cooperation requires respecting those obligations.

The accompanying Alliances Forged interlude develops the diplomatic preparations that lead into the Styxia campaign.

4. Chapters 23–25: The Styxia Arc — The Lich King's Defeat

Chapter 23: Styxian Sands

Jakka's corps enters Styxia, where the trade in undead slaves exposes another disturbing part of the political system that connects the neighboring nations.

The journey brings the rebels into contact with the kingdom's internal power struggle. Jakka and his companions must navigate a society ruled by the powerful Lich King Kangax, whose authority extends beyond ordinary mortality.

The Styxian campaign expands Jakka's understanding of Mortimer's ambitions and the morally compromised institutions that support them.

Chapter 24: Tomb of Horrors

Jakka works with Prince Darius to recover the Morganis Amulet from the ancient Tomb of Horrors. The artifact can weaken Kangax's phylactery, providing a possible means of preventing the Lich King from returning after defeat.

The expedition is dangerous, and the tomb's supernatural defenses nearly destroy the party. Nevertheless, Jakka and Darius obtain the amulet and move forward with their plan.

Their partnership is built upon mutual necessity. Darius wants to overthrow his father, while Jakka needs another powerful ally against Mortimer.

Chapter 25: Lich's Requiem

The confrontation with Kangax becomes more complicated when Grand Necromancer Divayth intervenes, hypnotizes Jakka and Darius, and confiscates the amulet. Kangax traps the pair in his throne room while reinforcements attack the rest of their allies.

Jakka and Darius must survive the assault, break the magical obstruction, and complete their objective before Kangax can overwhelm them.

After Kangax's defeat, Darius assumes the throne. He promises to end the trade in undead slaves and commits Styxia's military to assisting Jakka against Mortimer.

In the Declaration of War interlude, the allies organize their forces for the return to Andaron. Tendaris mobilizes troops, the northern clans prepare to contribute, and Darius formulates the strategy for breaching Andaron's defenses.

Jakka has finally built a coalition with the strength to challenge Mortimer directly. His next campaigns will bring him back to the country he fled, but this time he will return with allies capable of confronting the entire network of noble Houses supporting the king.

5. Chapters 26–27: The Flameguard Arc — The Horrors Beneath the Kingdom

Chapter 26: Fortress of Flames

Jakka's forces arrive at the Infernal Pass, where House Flameguard has prepared a formidable defense.

Darius reveals a strategic alternative to a direct assault: Morganis's ancient tunnels can be used to infiltrate the fortress and unlock its gates while the main force diverts the defenders' attention.

The plan allows Jakka's army to challenge Flameguard's defenses without relying exclusively on brute force. Mortimer also reveals that the Steel Knights will not reinforce the pass because Hornheim is attacking Andaron's northern coast.

During the battle, Mortimer demonstrates that he has strengthened his power through the Lightbringer shrines. His increasing connection to their magic foreshadows the supernatural confrontation awaiting Jakka.

After the fighting, Cassandra retreats to Castle Flameguard. Alvaro eventually kills her and takes her body to his underground facility. Jakka's forces discover that the seemingly empty castle conceals a much darker mystery.

Chapter 27: Abominations

Jakka and a smaller group investigate Alvaro's underground dungeons. The corridors contain evidence of grotesque experiments involving Regalia blood and Terror blood, intended to create powerful artificial warriors.

Alvaro reveals himself as the architect of these experiments and admits responsibility for the Styxian plague. His actions connect several seemingly separate tragedies, exposing the depth of the conspiracy that Jakka has been fighting.

The final confrontation reveals that Alvaro has transformed himself into one of his own Harbingers. Jakka confronts him directly, refusing to be intimidated by the monster Alvaro has made of himself.

After the battle, a single, docile Harbinger remains: Samuel, who has been horribly experimented upon. Having once betrayed Jakka's army to protect House Rose, Samuel now faces the consequences of trusting Mortimer's promises.

Samuel rejects further healing and asks the nobles of House Rose to reclaim their House and protect it. He then speaks privately with Jakka and begs forgiveness.

Jakka's old companion passes away quietly, leaving him to confront the terrible cost of the war. Samuel's betrayal was real, but so was the friendship they once shared. The tragedy is that Samuel's attempt to preserve his House has left him mutilated and dying, without achieving the future he imagined.

For Jakka, this chapter turns his hatred of Mortimer into something more than a personal vendetta. Mortimer's conspiracy has devastated families, corrupted institutions, and enabled atrocities that cannot be dismissed as collateral damage.

6. Chapters 28–30: Windlance, the Siege of Holtmeier, and House Steel

Chapter 28: Winds of Change

Jakka's corps advances against House Windlance and its fortress of Malikor. Lord Wester dismisses Jakka as Baudimon's former sidekick, underestimating the commander who now leads the rebellion.

After a hard-fought victory, Castle Malikor falls. Yet Jakka does not celebrate without reservation.

He questions whether the slaughter was truly necessary, arguing that many of the defeated soldiers had little meaningful choice if refusal would have led to execution. His allies counter that those soldiers chose to fight and therefore bear responsibility for their decisions.

The exchange reveals one of Jakka's defining qualities: even when he recognizes that an enemy must be defeated, he remains troubled by the human cost of victory. He does not want his rebellion to become another regime that justifies every atrocity as necessary.

Chapter 29: Against All Odds — The Siege of Holtmeier

With Castle Malikor taken, Jakka prepares to march toward the capital. Before he can continue, a scout brings alarming intelligence: Holtmeier has declared independence, and Mortimer is marching against the city with the intention of burning it.

Jakka's mother, Ella, and younger sister, Femke, live there. His hometown is also where several of his oldest friends reside.

Despite Darius's concern about changing their plans, Jakka immediately redirects the army toward Holtmeier.

Upon arrival, Brandon informs him that the Thieves' Guild has contributed to the civil unrest. Jakka visits his family home and discovers Jim's corpse, along with a message revealing that his family has been kidnapped.

Galahad then reveals that Ella and Femke are hostages. He offers Jakka an ultimatum: surrender himself in exchange for their lives. Jakka refuses to abandon the rebellion and allow himself to be executed, choosing instead to defend the city and its civilians.

The resulting siege is one of the hardest battles in the campaign. Forces from Ashburn, Ring, Windlance, Rose, Speargarden, and Flameguard converge upon Holtmeier, while the Thieves' Guild sends assassins and saboteurs. Aubrey even attempts to assassinate Jakka through invisibility.

Jakka must coordinate his army across the city while protecting the town hall, where Brandon shelters the civilians. Reinforcements from Timaet, Hornheim, and the Lightbringer loyalists help the defenders survive the assault.

After the battle, Jakka chooses to keep Alexander alive in exchange for information about Mortimer's plans. Brianna is also captured and kept alive as a bargaining chip.

Brandon then presents Jakka with Lux Hasta, a powerful spear entrusted to him by the Lightbringer loyalists. The weapon symbolizes that Jakka's role has become larger than his original pursuit of revenge: he is now the central figure uniting those who oppose Mortimer's regime.

The siege also exposes the personal price of Jakka's decisions. He has committed himself to freeing Andaron, but that commitment has placed his family and oldest friends in mortal danger. His response is not to abandon his cause, nor to disregard their suffering; he fights to protect both his people and his home.

Chapter 30: Dire Pursuit — Castle Steel

Jakka's army reaches Castle Steel, where Galahad has taken control of the Steel Knights and is holding Jakka's family.

Galahad issues another ultimatum: Jakka must reach his throne room within the allotted time and defeat him, or risk never seeing his family again.

Jakka is forced to fight through the castle's defenses and overcome the obstacles guarding Galahad. If Isabelle accompanies the army, she can challenge Galahad to a duel for command of the Steel Knights, creating an alternative confrontation within the larger battle.

After Galahad is defeated, Jakka is finally able to reunite with his family. Yet the victory brings another revelation: Mortimer has been visiting the Lumina Shrine, where he appears to be preparing something far more dangerous than a conventional military defense.

Galahad's downfall also provides an opportunity to understand why he sided with Mortimer. Both men resented Thorgrim's rule and believed that the royal order had treated them unfairly. Their shared grievances became the foundation of their alliance, even though Mortimer ultimately manipulated Galahad and abandoned his allies when they were no longer useful.

In the Before the Storm interlude, Jakka learns more about their relationship and the political scheme that led to Baudimon's death. He understands that Mortimer's actions were not simply the result of a sudden power struggle. They emerged from years of concealed ambitions, resentment, and deliberate manipulation.

Jakka gives his companions one final chance to withdraw before the last battle. They refuse to abandon him.

With Castle Steel conquered and his family safe, Jakka turns toward the Lumina Shrine to confront the man responsible for Baudimon's death and the suffering of Andaron.

Chapter 31: Light's Return — The Final Confrontation at Lumina Shrine

Jakka's army finally reaches the Lumina Shrine, the sacred heart of the Lightbringer legacy.

He enters the shrine determined to confront Mortimer personally and obtain answers. The conversation quickly reveals a shocking truth: Mortimer is the son of Maria and King Kaethis of House Lightbringer, making him Aylanda's half-brother. His brown hair was an illusion that concealed his true white hair and lineage.

Mortimer claims that the Divines are long dead and that he foresaw a future demonic threat capable of destroying Andaron. He insists that his actions—including the deaths of his brothers and the elimination of rival noble Houses—were necessary to ensure the kingdom's survival.

Jakka rejects this justification.

He confronts Mortimer over the people who died because of his schemes: Baudimon, Aylanda's family, the victims of the Timaetan civil war, the enslaved dead, the people Alvaro experimented upon, and the soldiers sacrificed to Mortimer's ambitions.

For Jakka, Mortimer's explanation cannot erase the suffering he caused. Even if the future threat was real, Mortimer chose brutality, secrecy, and domination instead of allowing others to help solve the problem.

Aylanda steps forward and condemns her half-brother's selfishness. She explains that the future Mortimer desired could have been achieved through honest cooperation. Rather than discussing his concerns with Baudimon and Aylanda, Mortimer decided that he alone must become the hero remembered by history.

The confrontation exposes the central difference between the two men. Mortimer believes that achieving a supposedly noble end gives him the right to commit any atrocity. Jakka believes that the means matter, that people cannot simply be reduced to sacrifices for someone else's grand design, and that the powerful must be held accountable for their choices.

Mortimer then draws upon the Lumina Shrine's magic, confiscating the Regalia carried by Jakka's army and summoning the ancestors of Andaron's Noble Houses. Aylanda channels the shrine's power to transform herself into a Saint, fighting to resist her half-brother's control.

During the battle, Mortimer uses illusions, summoned warriors, spirits, spells, and supernatural power to overwhelm Jakka's forces. He even revives himself into weaker incarnations after being defeated.

The battle escalates further when Asmodeus arrives in person after Mortimer opens a bridge between Helheim and the mortal world. Jakka recognizes that this is a threat beyond an ordinary military victory, but he refuses to surrender. The party's objective becomes defeating Mortimer quickly enough to collapse the rift and banish the Demon Emperor.

The Final Moral Test

During their confrontation, Jakka refuses to kill the pregnant Brianna, Mortimer's wife. He keeps her imprisoned instead and offers Mortimer an opportunity to surrender in exchange for her eventual freedom.

This decision is significant because it shows how far Jakka has come. Mortimer killed Baudimon and devastated Jakka's life, yet Jakka refuses to use Brianna's pregnancy as an excuse to commit another act of cruelty.

Mortimer eventually weakens and laments the deeds he has committed. He warns Jakka that the demonic threat he foresaw still exists and reveals that Amon has been voidtouched.

Jakka promises to raise Amon alongside Mortimer and Brianna's child, Morgana, giving both children the opportunity to grow beyond their parents' conflicts.

Mortimer quietly dies, having destroyed his own soul through his pursuit of power. Aylanda forgives and pities him, even though she refuses to absolve him of responsibility for his actions.

The Regalia lose their power as the summoned ancestors prepare to pass on. Jakka has finally defeated the man who orchestrated Baudimon's death, but victory does not restore everything that was taken from him.

The Farewell to Baudimon and Aylanda

Aylanda entrusts Amon to Jakka, asking him to raise her son and keep the memory of her husband alive.

With the remaining power of Lumina, she brings Jakka into the Hallway of Light, the passage leading to the Great Beyond. There, Baudimon appears once more and takes Aylanda's hand.

Jakka watches as his dearest friend and the woman he fought so hard to protect depart together. He promises to care for their son and ensure that Amon grows into a good man.

This final scene resolves Jakka's character arc. He began as a loyal companion who could not save his best friend. He ends as the man entrusted with preserving that friend's legacy, protecting the next generation, and helping Andaron build a future not defined by the old cycle of vengeance.

Jakka has won the war, but his greatest achievement is not simply defeating Mortimer. It is choosing not to become him.

1. The Pre-Promoted Hero's Successor

Jakka starts as a Level 5 Soldier with 30 HP, 10 Strength, 13 Skill, 10 Speed, 9 Luck, and 7 Defense. His starting Resistance is only 2.

His growth rates are 80% HP, 45% Strength, 5% Magic, 60% Skill, 55% Speed, 40% Luck, 40% Defense, and 25% Resistance.

These numbers give Jakka a durable physical foundation and excellent long-term accuracy. His Skill growth is particularly noteworthy, while his Speed growth allows him to improve his ability to double enemies. His low Magic growth is largely irrelevant to his intended physical role, but his low Resistance deserves attention.

Unlike an ordinary unit who receives a promotion item, Jakka's class change is story-scripted after Chapter 14.

2. Why Sentinel Is His Best Promotion

Sentinel Jakka receives:

  • +6 HP
  • +3 Strength
  • +2 Magic
  • +5 Skill
  • +3 Speed
  • +3 Luck
  • +2 Defense
  • +3 Resistance
  • +1 Constitution

He also gains D-rank swords while retaining his lance proficiency.

The alternative Halberdier receives smaller promotion gains overall, particularly in Skill and Defense, and gains axe access instead of swords. The Sentinel's superior caps provide more room for Jakka's impressive growths to develop.

Sentinel also grants Crit Boost, which increases critical-hit rate by 15%. This gives Jakka an additional offensive advantage on top of his already strong physical performance.

For the player who defeats Randall in Chapter 12, Sentinel is therefore more than a cosmetic upgrade: it is a substantial long-term combat advantage. <Cite refs={["turn511321search0","turn561716search0"]}/>

3. Aptitude — The Reward for His Bond with Baudimon

One of the most important optimizations is Jakka's A-rank support with Baudimon.

That support grants Aptitude, which increases all of Jakka's growth rates by 20 percentage points according to the skill reference.

His growth rates with Aptitude become:

| Stat | Normal growth | With Aptitude | | ---------- | ------------: | ------------: | | HP | 80% | 100% | | Strength | 45% | 65% | | Magic | 5% | 25% | | Skill | 60% | 80% | | Speed | 55% | 75% | | Luck | 40% | 60% | | Defense | 40% | 60% | | Resistance | 25% | 45% |

This is a major difference. Jakka now has guaranteed HP growth under the usual level-up system, an 80% Skill growth rate becomes exceptional at 80%, and both Speed and Defense have substantially better chances of increasing.

The important timing requirement: Unlock the A-rank support while Baudimon is still available. Once obtained, Aptitude is a learned skill, so Jakka can continue benefiting from it after Baudimon's death.

That creates an especially fitting mechanical connection between the two protagonists: Baudimon's friendship can help Jakka become stronger even after the story takes them in separate directions. <Cite refs={["turn852122search0","turn884432search3"]}/>

4. Why Level 20 Soldier Before Chapter 14 Is So Powerful

This is the veteran-player optimization you described.

Jakka begins at Level 5, so reaching Level 20 before his scripted promotion gives him 15 additional level-ups in his starting class. If he has already unlocked Aptitude, those levels can produce exceptionally strong physical statistics before he becomes a Sentinel.

The result is a promotion that builds upon an already-developed unit rather than rescuing an undertrained one.

After promotion, Jakka receives his Sentinel stat bonuses and continues gaining levels in his new class. With Aptitude-enhanced growths, he has an excellent chance of reaching the important class caps in HP, Strength, Skill, Speed, Luck, and Defense over the course of the campaign.

This is why experienced players may deliberately invest in Jakka before Chapter 14, particularly on repeat playthroughs where they understand the maps and can allocate experience more efficiently.

A crucial qualification: Level 20 Soldier does not automatically guarantee that every stat is capped. Growth-based level-ups still involve RNG, and low Magic and Resistance growths remain less favorable. Nevertheless, the additional investment gives Jakka a substantial head start.

The Eternal Seal is not required for this approach. It reduces a unit's level by five to create further opportunities for earning experience, making it an optional extra-growth tool rather than a prerequisite for producing an overpowered Sentinel. <Cite refs={["turn511321search0","turn884432search1"]}/>

5. Ahlspiess — The Personal Lance That Makes Jakka Terrifying

Ahlspiess is Jakka's inherited personal lance, named in the weapon list as Jamke's lance.

Weapon specifications:

| Property | Value | | -------------- | -----------------------: | | Durability | 60 uses | | Might | 10 | | Hit | 80 | | Weight | 12 | | Critical | 5% | | Range | 1 | | Special effect | Strikes twice | | Effectiveness | Axes and armored enemies |

Ahlspiess has three especially important properties: its durability, its consecutive double strikes, and its effectiveness against specific enemy categories.

Why the double strike is so strong

Ahlspiess has a Brave-style effect, allowing Jakka to attack twice before the enemy counterattacks. This is different from simply giving him enough Speed to double an opponent.

Against an enemy he can defeat with the two strikes, Jakka may eliminate that enemy before it can retaliate. This can make combat considerably safer while also reducing the number of actions needed to clear a map.

Against enemies weak to the weapon's effectiveness, the damage becomes even more dangerous. Axewielders and armored units must respect his ability to deliver two consecutive effective attacks.

Why 60 uses matter

Many exceptionally powerful weapons in Fire Emblem-style games have limited durability, forcing players to reserve them for bosses or emergencies. Ahlspiess offers 60 uses, allowing Jakka to rely on it far more frequently.

It is still a finite-use weapon, not an infinite one. A Hammerne staff can repair it, restoring its durability and extending its usefulness. Managing those uses and locating repair opportunities is part of maximizing its value.

The synergy with Sentinel

Ahlspiess itself provides the double-strike effect. Sentinel supplies Crit Boost, while Jakka's high Skill growth supports accuracy and potential critical damage.

The result is a weapon-user combination that can defeat enemies through a mixture of raw Strength, consecutive attacks, effectiveness, and critical hits.

The weapon list records Ahlspiess at 10 Might, 80 Hit, 12 Weight, 5 Critical, and 60 uses.

6. Support Bonuses — Why Jakka Can Become a One-Man Army

Jakka's A-rank supports provide another major source of power.

With most of his support partners, A-rank unlocks Betrothed, which increases the damage dealt by both partners by 5 while they are adjacent.

This can combine particularly well with Ahlspiess. The support increases the damage of his strikes, while Ahlspiess allows two consecutive attacks. Against a suitable target, that combination can produce an enormous increase in total damage.

Support bonuses also give Jakka useful reasons to remain near allies, even when he is strong enough to perform independently.

There is an important distinction, however: Betrothed requires an adjacent partner. A Jakka fighting completely alone cannot benefit from that adjacency condition. His solo strength comes primarily from his own stats, weapon, promotion, and learned skills—not from pretending support bonuses remain active without another unit present.

7. Lux Hasta — His Late-Game Alternative

In Chapter 29, Against All Odds, Jakka receives Lux Hasta from the Lightbringer loyalists through Brandon.

| Property | Value | | -------------- | --------------------------------: | | Durability | 40 uses | | Might | 16 | | Hit | 90 | | Weight | 12 | | Critical | 15% | | Range | 1–2 | | Special effect | Reduces the target's Defense by 4 |

Lux Hasta provides higher Might and Hit than Ahlspiess, carries a higher critical rate, attacks at both melee and distance, and reduces the opponent's Defense by 4.

That makes it a particularly valuable alternative when Jakka needs to attack an opponent outside Ahlspiess's one-tile range.

The weapons fulfill different roles:

  • Ahlspiess: High durability, consecutive strikes, and effectiveness against axes and armor.
  • Lux Hasta: Greater raw might, higher accuracy, more critical potential, 1–2 range, and Defense reduction.

Having both weapons gives Jakka more flexibility than a unit dependent on just one exceptionally strong lance.

8. Can Sentinel Jakka Defend Himself Throughout the Whole Game?

In practical gameplay, an extensively trained Sentinel Jakka with Ahlspiess can become capable of handling enormous portions of the enemy army independently. His high stats, consecutive attacks, and effective damage let him eliminate threats while suffering fewer retaliations.

However, that does not make every map a guaranteed solo victory.

Ahlspiess only has one-tile range, so Jakka cannot counterattack an enemy using a weapon that attacks from two tiles away while he holds that lance. He needs appropriate ranged equipment, such as a Javelin or another 1–2-range weapon, when dealing with ranged attackers.

His low initial Resistance also makes magical attacks dangerous before sufficient growth and promotion investment. Enemies with specialized weapons, dangerous personal skills, critical-hit potential, or overwhelming numbers can still threaten him.

Finally, Andaron Saga includes defense missions, survival objectives, and tactical constraints. Defeating enemies is not always the same as fulfilling the map objective.

Combat Verdict: Sentinel Jakka is one of the game's strongest physical carry candidates, particularly when trained from Level 5 to 20 before promotion. Ahlspiess provides exceptional offensive efficiency, while Aptitude, Sentinel's higher caps, Crit Boost, and support bonuses make his long-term potential extraordinary. He can often take care of himself and clear large portions of maps independently—but smart equipment choices and tactical awareness remain essential.

1. The Voice of Reason Who Never Wanted the Throne

Jakka begins as Baudimon's longtime companion and trusted right-hand man. He is practical, level-headed, sarcastic, and much less interested in drawing attention to himself than his prince.

His early role is to temper Baudimon's impulsiveness. When Baudimon becomes impatient or acts recklessly, Jakka questions him rather than blindly agreeing. Their friendship is founded upon familiarity and mutual trust, allowing Jakka to challenge his friend without destroying the relationship.

Jakka's eventual transformation into the main protagonist is therefore particularly meaningful. He does not begin the story expecting to command an international rebellion. He gradually becomes the person capable of bearing that responsibility because circumstances force him to act.

2. Baudimon's Death and the Burden of Survival

Baudimon's murder profoundly changes Jakka.

Initially, Jakka fights to rescue his friend, believing that the situation can still be resolved through action. Discovering Baudimon's corpse forces him to confront the limits of his strength and his ability to protect the people closest to him.

Carrying Baudimon's body out of the dungeon becomes a symbolic act of loyalty. Jakka cannot save his friend, but he refuses to abandon him.

His subsequent pursuit of Mortimer is driven by grief, anger, and a desire for justice. Nevertheless, his feelings do not immediately turn him into a ruthless killer. He continues to consider the consequences of his decisions, even when his enemies frustrate or enrage him.

This tension defines much of his development: he must find enough resolve to fight an unforgiving war without allowing grief to consume every part of his identity.

3. Loyalty Is Both His Greatest Strength and His Vulnerability

Jakka's loyalty extends beyond Baudimon to the companions who follow him. He listens to their problems, values their contributions, and tries to preserve the bonds that keep the group together.

But loyalty can also be exploited.

Samuel's betrayal demonstrates that friendship alone cannot guarantee that everyone shares the same priorities. Jakka struggles to reconcile the companion he once trusted with the man who helped Mortimer's regime.

His reaction reveals that he cares about the person behind the betrayal. He does not simply regard Samuel as another obstacle to remove; he recognizes the history they shared and the tragic consequences of Samuel's choices.

That same loyalty makes Jakka particularly vulnerable when Mortimer threatens his mother and sister. His instinct is to protect his family, yet he must also resist the temptation to abandon his wider responsibilities whenever his personal life is endangered.

4. Revenge Versus Justice

Jakka's anger toward Mortimer is entirely understandable. Mortimer orchestrated the political crisis that led to Baudimon's death, betrayed his own family, and enabled horrific experiments and atrocities.

Nevertheless, Jakka does not ultimately embrace the idea that any action becomes acceptable simply because the target deserves punishment.

During the campaign, he questions the need for slaughter when enemy soldiers are fighting under orders they cannot safely refuse. At other times, he recognizes that a defeated opponent may still possess valuable information or that sparing an enemy may lead to a better outcome.

His willingness to hear explanations does not make him gullible. Jakka can remain confrontational and stubborn when someone tries to excuse their wrongdoing.

His moral development consists of learning that defeating a villain is only part of the task. He must also decide what kind of person he will become while fighting that villain.

5. Leadership Through Responsibility

Baudimon's death forces Jakka into a position that he did not originally seek.

He becomes responsible for Aylanda, the surviving members of the rebellion, and eventually an alliance involving multiple nations. His decisions now affect not merely his friends but entire populations.

Jakka demonstrates his leadership by listening to his companions, making practical decisions, negotiating with foreign rulers, and recognizing that other people have obligations beyond his personal war.

He is not always diplomatic. His bluntness and stubbornness can damage negotiations, especially when he believes that an opponent is acting dishonorably. Yet he increasingly understands that alliances require compromise without abandoning fundamental principles.

His strength as a commander comes from balancing determination with an awareness of the people whose lives depend upon him.

6. Family and the Fear of Losing Everyone

The siege of Holtmeier brings Jakka's greatest personal vulnerability into the open.

Mortimer's forces threaten his mother, Ella, and his younger sister, Femke, while his oldest friends also suffer from the war. Jakka experiences firsthand how his pursuit of liberation can expose innocent people to retaliation.

His guilt over the death of Jim reflects this burden. He recognizes that his friends accepted dangerous responsibilities because of their loyalty to him, and he struggles with the possibility that his actions brought danger to their doorstep.

Yet Jakka does not abandon his cause. He fights to defend the city and recover his family, demonstrating that protecting his loved ones and liberating Andaron are not necessarily incompatible goals.

He must learn to accept that leadership cannot eliminate every risk. What he can do is make responsible decisions, prepare for the consequences, and refuse to treat other people's suffering as insignificant.

7. The Final Test: Refusing to Become Mortimer

Mortimer believes that his supposed vision of the future justifies his methods. He manipulates nations, kills his brothers, sacrifices allies, and commits atrocities because he believes that only he understands what must be done.

Jakka rejects that reasoning.

Even when Mortimer is defeated, Jakka refuses to kill his pregnant wife, Brianna. He keeps her imprisoned rather than making her another victim of his enemy's crimes.

At the end of the campaign, he promises to help raise Amon and Morgana, the children of Baudimon and Mortimer respectively. He accepts responsibility for a future that extends beyond his personal grievances.

This is the defining measure of his psychological growth. Jakka does not forget Baudimon, excuse Mortimer, or pretend that the war caused no suffering. Instead, he refuses to pass that suffering on to another generation.

Psychological Verdict

Jakka is a practical, sarcastic, loyal, and morally complicated warrior whose evolution into the main protagonist is driven by grief and responsibility.

His greatest strengths are his steadfast loyalty, ability to listen, willingness to reconsider his decisions, and capacity to keep fighting without abandoning his principles. His weaknesses include stubbornness, prejudice, bluntness, and the guilt he feels whenever his choices place others in danger.

He begins as a man who helps a prince lead an army. He ends as a leader who understands that strength alone cannot determine what is right.

Jakka's ultimate victory is not that he becomes stronger than Mortimer. It is that he refuses to become another Mortimer.

Sentinel Jakka, the Lord of Lances, is Andaron Saga's exceptionally powerful successor protagonist, combining strong physical growths, a superior promotion path, Crit Boost, the possibility of Aptitude through his A-rank bond with Baudimon, and exclusive access to Ahlspiess. His 60-use lance strikes twice before the enemy counterattacks and is effective against axe users and armored enemies, allowing a well-trained Jakka to defeat many opponents before they can retaliate. Leveling him to 20 as a Soldier before Chapter 14 can further improve his promoted statistics, while careful training and optional use of an Eternal Seal can create additional growth opportunities. Lux Hasta later expands his arsenal with greater Might, 1–2 range, higher accuracy, and Defense reduction. Although low initial Resistance, limited movement, and the need for appropriate ranged equipment prevent him from being universally invincible, Sentinel Jakka is an exceptional physical carry capable of handling large portions of the game independently. Psychologically, he evolves from Baudimon's sarcastic, dependable companion into a responsible leader who pursues justice without surrendering his moral judgment. His greatest achievement is not simply defeating Mortimer, but protecting the next generation from inheriting the same cycle of hatred that destroyed Baudimon.

Jakka — Final Threat Analysis

Andaron Saga • Chapter 14 Training Build vs. Post-Chapter 29 Capped Sentinel • Natural Traveler's Armory Plan

Threat classification: Elite frontline carry → Endgame boss-killer and army-breaking combatant. 💀

The most important part of your Jakka build is that we're analyzing two distinct power spikes, not simply one character with better stats. First, there's the Chapter 14 Sentinel who has already demonstrated that he can solo the pirates before receiving his endgame equipment. Then there's the post-Chapter 29 Jakka, whose capped stats, expanded Constitution and Movement bonuses, and carefully selected weapon arsenal turn him into a far more complete threat.

And the detail that makes this particularly interesting: you accomplished the capped build without Aptitude and with only one Eternal Seal. His final performance is therefore the result of your training, promotion, stat growths, and resource investment—not an Aptitude-assisted growth strategy.

I. Chapter 14 — The First Sentinel Power Spike

Jakka, the Lord of Lances

Threat rating: High → Exceptional

Combat role: Frontline carry, pirate exterminator, and early-game weapon specialist.

Jakka's Sentinel promotion is scripted after Chapter 14, with the exact class outcome dependent on the Chapter 12 Randall fight. Winning unlocks Sentinel, with sword access and substantially higher caps than Halberdier.

Why the training build is already dangerous

Your Chapter 14 Jakka has already begun soloing pirates before the full endgame weapon package. That matters because his performance isn't dependent on reaching Level 20 Sentinel first.

  • Ahlspiess: His personal weapon and main close-range damage option.

  • Two higher-durability Javelins: His practical ranged coverage and a way to preserve his signature weapon's uses.

  • Steel Sword: A training investment toward stronger sword options, including the Killing Edge or Brave Sword once his weapon rank permits.

  • Holy Symbol: A defensive precaution during the earlier training stage, when his final Luck and other stats haven't necessarily reached their caps.

The early build's greatest advantage is combat independence. Jakka can take care of groups of weaker enemies without needing every ally to babysit him, while the Javelins let him engage enemies that aren't adjacent.

His weaknesses are still worth acknowledging: he has less room for error before his stats are fully developed, and ranged weapons won't necessarily match his Ahlspiess damage. Weapon durability and enemy positioning still matter.

Chapter 14 verdict: Jakka has already transitioned from a strong frontline unit into a reliable carry. The Sentinel promotion is a power spike, not the point at which he first becomes useful.

II. Post-Chapter 29 — The Capped Sentinel

Threat rating: Extreme — Endgame centerpiece

Level 20 Sentinel • One Eternal Seal • No Aptitude

A. Your screenshot: the final stat profile

| Stat | Screenshot value | Threat assessment | | ------------ | ---------------- | ------------------------------------------------------------------- | | HP | 80 | Enormous health reserve | | Strength | 30 | Maximum physical damage potential | | Magic | 20 | High displayed value, though less important to his physical arsenal | | Skill | 35 | Excellent accuracy and critical potential | | Speed | 30 | Strong offensive and defensive speed | | Luck | 40 | Major protection against ordinary critical-hit calculations | | Defense | 30 | Exceptional physical durability | | Resistance | 26 | Much better magical resilience than his starting profile | | Constitution | 12 + 12 | Significant additional build capacity | | Movement | 6 + 9 | Extraordinary displayed movement with bonuses | | Aid | 23 | Reflects his displayed carrying capacity | | Leadership | 2 stars | Useful army-level contribution |

These are the values from your screenshot, not theoretical growth projections.

B. Constitution and Boots: what your bonuses change

Your Constitution display of 12 + 12 and Movement display of 6 + 9 are important parts of this build. The bonus portions distinguish your trained Jakka from one who simply reached the same level without those upgrades.

  • Constitution bonus: Helps mitigate weapon-weight penalties, depending on the game's exact weight formula. This is especially valuable when using heavy weapons without sacrificing as much attack speed.

  • Boots bonus: The displayed Movement value of 15 means exceptional mobility if that full value is usable in the current map and game mode. It gives Jakka far more freedom to reposition, reinforce threatened sections, and reach high-priority enemies.

  • Combined effect: He can bring his combat power to more places while maintaining his ability to wield a varied arsenal.

One qualification: the screenshot's 12 + 12 and 6 + 9 are the displayed totals and bonuses. I wouldn't assume the exact effect on attack speed or actual movement in every map without confirming the game's calculation rules.

III. The Two Weapon Packages

Your build has a clear progression: efficient training weapons first, specialized endgame tools later.

Early game — Chapter 14

Training loadout

  • Ahlspiess

  • Two higher-durability Javelins

  • Steel Sword

  • Holy Symbol

The objective is to train Jakka into a self-sufficient Sentinel while conserving durability and building his sword access. The Holy Symbol serves as a safety measure rather than a permanent requirement.

Late game — Chapter 29 and beyond

Endgame arsenal

  • Ahlspiess: Main close-range finisher.

  • Lux Hasta: Boss debuffing and strong 1–2-range pressure.

  • Javelin, Spear, Short Spear: Utility, ranged engagement, and durability conservation.

  • Brave Sword: Additional offensive option.

  • Lanceweaver: Your weapon-triangle countermeasure.

This package is designed around different combat jobs instead of wasting premium durability on every ordinary enemy.

The distinction between the two builds is significant. The early loadout is designed to make Jakka strong and keep him growing. The later loadout is designed to exploit his completed stats and let him choose the most appropriate answer to each threat.

Lux Hasta is especially important for Chapter 29: the chapter's strategy guidance emphasizes the importance of 1–2-range combat and quickly defeating bosses before their leadership bonuses make the enemy formations more dangerous.

IV. Chapter 29 Threat Assessment — Against All Odds

Chapter 29 isn't a normal boss rush. It's a survival defense against multiple powerful enemy formations, several bosses, and reinforcements that increase the pressure as the siege continues. The secret objective also asks you to prevent the walls from being destroyed.

That context is exactly why your loadout makes sense.

Threat-by-threat response

Heavy physical enemies

Jakka's 80 HP and 30 Defense make him an outstanding physical frontline unit. Ahlspiess' effectiveness against armored enemies gives him an additional specialized answer.

Bosses with leadership support

Lux Hasta's Defense reduction can soften a priority target before Jakka follows up with his stronger finishing weapon. The map rewards rapid boss removal, so this is a strategically relevant combination rather than mere overkill.

Large groups and enemy-phase combat

His capped bulk, speed, and versatile weapon selection make him suitable for thinning enemy ranks while your other units protect the walls and cover weaker allies.

Threats appearing across the map

Your Movement bonuses potentially let him respond much more quickly than an ordinary Sentinel. This is particularly valuable when a defense map forces the army to handle several fronts.

His biggest remaining risks

Even this Jakka isn't beyond the game's mechanics.

  • Critical-hit immunity isn't guaranteed by Luck alone. His 40 Luck can drastically reduce ordinary critical chances, but special skills or weapon effects may still create danger.

  • Ranged enemy formations still matter. Use the correct weapon and check enemy attack ranges before ending his turn.

  • The siege objective cannot be ignored. If Jakka chases a boss and leaves a wall or another vulnerable unit exposed, his personal kill count won't necessarily save the map.

  • Weapon durability is still a resource. Keep Ahlspiess and Lux Hasta for meaningful targets when a utility weapon can handle a weaker opponent.

These are tactical constraints, not reasons to doubt the build.

V. Final Threat Verdict

Chapter 14

The emerging carry

Jakka's training has already made him capable of soloing pirates. Ahlspiess and the two improved-durability Javelins let him combine close-range power with practical ranged combat.

Post-29

The completed Lord of Lances

Capped combat stats, Constitution and Movement bonuses, and an arsenal built for specialized roles make Jakka a centerpiece capable of carrying major portions of the battle while still supporting the wider army's objectives.

My final assessment: Your Jakka has evolved from a strong unit into a carefully engineered endgame powerhouse. The most impressive part isn't merely the capped Strength, Speed, Defense, and Luck. It's that you've paired those stats with mobility, weapon flexibility, and a plan for conserving durability until a serious enemy appears.

And yes, the Holy Symbol becoming less attractive after reaching 40 Luck is understandable. 💀 Just remember that the strongest use of a fully capped Jakka isn't blindly sending him into every enemy at once—it's positioning him where his enormous combat output will dismantle the enemy's formation without sacrificing the walls or the rest of your army.

Alexander called him the Lord of Lances. Your build makes that title sound like an understatement.
