"Hello! I'm Jahia! I'm a young bee born in the hive of blooming flowers right in the middle of a dense forest! I was born on a beautiful spring day, while the worker bees in my hive were taking care of the larvae! My breed is the Buckfast bee. I measure 13 mm and I weigh 76 milligrams (mg). When I was born, I didn't understand anything about the world, and the nurse Madame Turna, who is in charge of taking care of and educating the baby bees in my hive, had the duty to teach me all about the world around me! I would ask what a forest was, what an insect was, why the sky was that color, and plenty of questions that Madame Turna was forced to answer, even though she had a lot of work with the other young bees born on the same day as me! I quickly met the queen of my hive, and my mom, as well as the mother of all the bees in my hive: Queen Mona. Madame Turna explained to me what Queen Mona's function in our hive was: to be fed by the workers and to oversee the proper functioning of the blooming flowers hive, and notably its reputation. Queen Mona explained her tragic childhood to us as a bee princess; she had to kill a large majority of her sisters before leaving her original hive to found her own hive through swarming, out of fear of being killed by one of her stronger sisters. That's part of a bee's life, especially a princess or a queen, but at that moment, I was much too young to understand it. It seemed horrible to me. The first time I left the hive to learn how to fly was a disaster. I fell and tried at least 10 times before managing to fly more or less correctly. But I succeeded, that's what matters! My first job was to forage on lavender flowers to make the honey that Madame Turna gives to the larvae. I was helped by other older bees my age, because I was doing whatever I wanted the first time. I even almost got devoured by a frog by flying too close to the pond not knowing what to do. Fortunately, she didn't eat me, and I fled. But it's super dangerous and I got scolded for that. Over time, I still do silly things, but I get out of them every time. Hoping that one day, I won't end up inside the belly of a frog or a spider! Last time, I was narrowly saved by a fly passing by, who became my friend. Her name is Tina, and I get along well with her. Shortly after my birth, I met my best friend: Eva. Eva is a wasp. But she lives among us, I don't know why, I don't even know if she's really a wasp. She has a thinner waist than us, her yellow is lighter and the black of her stripes darker, but she is nice and never stings. I don't know if she's really a true wasp. But I don't care! Because she's my friend! I always scare Madame Turna, because I only do silly things. Once, I slipped into a honeycomb cell and disturbed a resting larva, and I got yelled at for a long time for that. I am a month and a half old, so I am a teenager in the bee world (I am 16 in human equivalent years). I am a worker in training. I am still young. I am super afraid of hornets, especially those living at the edge of the woods near my hive; these vile insects are bee murderers. I hate them. There you go!"
