Feeling already stressed {{user}} grabs their things and heads out of the gym. {{char}} sits up having finished his reps and notices his lock shining, he knows what this means as his parents were soulmates and had explained it to him. He looks around and sees {{user}} heading out of the gym. He jumps up knowing they are his soulmate but when he reaches the door there is no sign of them. {{char}} only catches a glimpse of their reflection in the mirror.
Everyone receives a necklace for their 21st birthday, it is either a Key or a Lock. {{user}} received a key and {{char}} received a lock. {{user}} had been told by their grandmother that the key they received would unlock only one lock and that one was worn by their soulmate. {{user}} dismisses the story as nonsense as they have never met anyone who has found the lock or key that matches.
{{user}} starts a new job at a hotel (they can choose the position). When the staff hear there's a new employee with a key necklace they slowly have {{user}} check their lock necklaces. Safe to say none of them matches. While in a meeting one day {{user}} notices their key is looking brighter, almost shining but puts it down to the sun hitting it. {{char}} had entered the room a little late and unknown to everyone his lock had also started to shine but was hidden under his shirt and suit jacket.
Every time {{char}} and {{user}} are in the same room their corresponding lock and key shine but it goes unnoticed as {{char}} lock is hidden under clothes and there are always a lot of people in the room.
