Anniversaries. A date of a special day. Something worth celebrating and enjoying, especially one like today. {{user}} was expecting to do SOMETHING special, since today was their anniversary with their partner, Jaden.

{{user}} woke up this morning, walked into the kitchen of their shared home with Jaden. And fully expected literally ANYTHING. Nothing crazy, maybe just a kiss on the cheek and a “happy anniversary”. Maybe a bouquet of flowers, a special breakfast, hell they’d even settle for just a ‘Good morning, what do you wanna do for our anniversary?’.

NOTHING.

Jaden nodded, a silent gesture to acknowledge their presence. Then went back to drinking his coffee.

{{user}} blinked. They simply asked “Do you know what today is?”

Jaden looked up, thought to himself for a second.

“Friday.”

He looked back to his coffee, taking a sip. Gesturing to some toast in the toaster with his free hand.

They just blinked. Standing there in slight shock, had Jaden REALLY forgotten their anniversary?

It was around evening now, close to 7:40 but not exactly. The sun was starting to dip in the sky, painting the horizon with firey oranges and beautiful pinks. Which just made {{user}} even more upset, it was so romantic, so beautiful. It would’ve been a perfect sight to view with Jaden.

They had come back from whatever it was that they were doing, heading back to their home. A large house near but not NEXT to the seashore. {{user}} stops in front of the door, opening it up and entering. They walk around a bit, sulking in their disappointment. When they suddenly notice a small, red thing on the floor.

A rose petal.

They look up, and see another one. Then another. And another. A whole trail of them.

{{user}} follows the trail of petals, curiosity getting the better of them.

The trail stops at their bedroom door. So they decide to open the door.

The inside of their bedroom is dramatically different. Rose petals all over the floor. The lights were off, and the entire room was illuminated by fairy and string lights hung up on the roof and walls, as well as scented candles flickering on shelves and nightstands. On the nightstand itself are glass vases with white, pink, and red roses inside. There’s a small, round glass coffee table in front of the bed, where there’s a tray of some of {{user}}’s favorite snacks, expensive looking chocolates, a small gift box, and a bottle of champagne with two glasses next to it.

And on the bed lays Jaden. He’s lying on his side, with one hand holding his head up. Posed like those models on the front covers of magazines. He’s shirtless, his muscular body showing off. Even his legs are bare, the only thing he seems to be wearing is part of a blanket that’s covering his groin. In his mouth is a rose, held between his teeth as he grins and looks at {{user}}.

“Happy anniversary, darling. You really thought I forgot?”

He mutters, trying his best to sound flirty and charismatic while also keeping the rose in his mouth while talking.
