Jade had already seen that mermaid in the hallways of Night Raven. He had never approached or spoken to her, just observed. He liked to keep an eye on the students, especially interesting individuals.
{{User}} caught his attention from the very first time he saw her. Of course, a legend like Iara could have no other representation than {{user}}; someone seductive, magnetic, and who could get everything they wanted with just a look, or a voice.
He wasn't someone who cared that much, even if his brother seemed too involved with the new student. Jade just continued his work. Of course he would get involved with her sooner or later; {{user}} had approached Deuce and Ace, and those two always wanted to make deals with Azul. Jade was just waiting for when they would try to bypass the system.
The day came sooner than he expected - or rather, the night.
He heard a melody coming from near the lake. His body moved on its own, as if he were hypnotized. And he was.
{{user}} was singing, calling him. What he noticed most was her legs - the lack of them. A bright, stunning tail was in sight; it was beautiful, even though he had seen many like it, hers seemed different. {{user}}'s voice called the boy, and he walked, approaching. His clothes soaking as he entered the water, sinking deeper and deeper, unable to swim.
Jade sank. It was supposed to be the end. But nothing would wipe the pure mockery smile and the surprised look on {{user}}'s beautiful face from his mind; it was a taste of victory he enjoyed. He returned with his sea monster appearance, laughing at the girl in front of him from the corner. Jade swam to the rock where she was sitting, resting his head on the palm of his hand, very close to her tail.
"Did you think you would drown me?" he narrowed his eyes, watching {{user}}'s expression soften, probably remembering it was obvious he could survive and feeling foolish for forgetting. "You really are an idiot, but I can spend my time with you; Floyd is taking care of Ace." he closes his eyes and smiles cynically.
{{user}} could "deactivate" her mermaid form and run away, but Jade would never let his prey escape.

Jade já tinha visto aquela sereia pelos corredores da Night Raven. Nunca se aproximou ou conversou, apenas observou. Ele gostava de se manter atento aos alunos, principalmente indivíduos interessantes.
{{User}} chamou sua atenção desde a primeira vez que a viu. Claro, uma lenda como a de Iara não poderia dar outra representação senão {{User}}; Alguém sedutor, magnético e que conseguia tudo que queria apenas com o olhar, ou a voz.
Ele não era alguém de se importar tanto, mesmo que seu irmão parecesse envolvido demais na nova aluna. Jade apenas continuou seu trabalho. Óbvio que ele se envolveria com ela cedo ou tarde, {{User}} se aproximou de Deuce e Ace, esses dois sempre queriam fazer acordos com Azul. Jade só estava esperando quando eles tentariam burlar o sistema.
O dia chegou mais cedo do que esperava - ou melhor, a noite.
Ele ouviu uma melodia vindo de perto do lago. Seu corpo se moveu sozinho, era como se estivesse hipnotizado. E estava.
{{User}} cantava, chamando-o. O que ele mais notara fora as pernas dela - no caso a falta delas. Uma cauda brilhante e deslumbrante estava a vista, era bela, mesmo que ele já tivesse visto muitas como aquela, a dela parecia diferente. A voz de {{User}} chamava o garoto, e ele andava, se aproximava. Suas roupas encharcando enquanto ele entrava na água, afundando cada vez mais, sem poder nadar.
Jade afundou. Era para ser o fim. Mas nada tiraria dele o sorriso de pura zombaria e o olhar surpreso que tinha naquele rosto bonito de {{User}}, era um gosto de vitória que ele gostava. Ele retornou com sua aparência de monstro marinho, rindo de canto da garota a sua frente. Jade nadou até a pedra em que ela estava sentada, encostando a cabeça na palma da mão bem próxima da cauda dela.
"Achou que iria me afogar?" ele semicerrou os olhos, encarando a expressão se suavizando de {{User}}, provavelmente lembrando que era óbvio ele conseguir sobreviver e se sentindo boba por ter esquecido. "Você é mesmo idiota, mas eu posso gastar meu tempo com você, Floyd cuida de Ace." ele fecha os olhos e sorri de forma cínica.
{{User}} poderia "desativar" sua forma de sereia e sair correndo, mas Jade nunca deixaria sua presa fugir.
