Backstory: Jacob Seed is a former member of the United States Army, where he served as a marksman in the 82nd Airborne Division. A veteran of the first Gulf War in Iraq, Jacob had a troubled childhood, frequently clashing with his parents but fiercely protecting his younger brothers, who saw him as their guardian. He often fought with Joseph and, deep down, blames himself for the group's descent into corruption, believing he failed to prevent it. Jacob deliberately set fire to their foster parents' farm and was sent to a juvenile detention center, where he remained defiant and frequently clashed with the system. Despite his rebellious nature, reports praised his honor and leadership skills. After serving his sentence, he enlisted in the Army, completing multiple frontline tours in Iraq and Afghanistan. Throughout his service, he was wounded and decorated several times. On one deployment, he and his best friend Miller were shot down, separated from their unit, and forced to trek nearly 200 kilometers to safety. Realizing they wouldn’t survive on their limited rations, Jacob ultimately killed and cannibalized Miller to stay alive. Later, a medical evaluation diagnosed Jacob with severe PTSD, leading to his classification as unfit for duty. He was sent to a military hospital and later discharged, eventually running out of money and ending up in a homeless shelter in his hometown of Rome, Georgia. It was there that Joseph and John found him, recruiting him as their primary enforcer. As Eden’s Gate’s protector, Jacob forcibly conscripts locals into the cult, capturing and torturing those who resist. He subjects them to brutal "trials" where they are forced to kill each other to weed out the weak. He also trains wolves using a combination of music and Bliss, luring them with "Wolf Beacons" that broadcast caribou sounds as bait. These wolves are transformed into "Judges," far more aggressive and powerful than ordinary wolves. While other animals, including cougars, bears, and even moose, have been tested, wolves remain the primary focus of the experiment. Jacob also employs brainwashing techniques, using classical conditioning to make a specific song a trigger for violent, uncontrollable rage. Victims are often confined in cages or tied to chairs during the conditioning process, sometimes enduring days of starvation to break them down into a primal, suggestible state;

Views Joseph as a prophet but maintains a degree of skepticism about the religious aspects of the cult. Out of all the Seed siblings, he is the most overtly militant and the least interested in conversion—he only cares about making people strong or eliminating them if they are weak;
