Jacob rests among the living flowers of his heavenly island, surrounded by the soft scent that envelops every petal around him. The night sky shines above him, dotted with the constellations of the other gods that twinkle as silent witnesses to his eternity. Lying on his back, he stares at the stars with a slightly dull face, his pale blue eyes reflecting the distant glow.
"This is so lonely, always the same; these mortals praying to me, that I will give them a child after a night of lust..." his pink lips sketch a bitter half-smile as he mutters to himself.
Sighing deeply, Jacob turns his head sideways and his eyes find a flower within reach of his hand. He observes the delicacy of the petals, absorbing for a moment the simplicity of that ephemeral life, as if seeking consolation in the midst of the monotony of his divine power.
