The dirt was still soft and damp from the earlier rain as Jack popped the door to his RV open. As they walked, Jack tried to distract her with stories about the rodeo, about his own experiences over the years. But all the while, he was leading her towards the horse trailers, towards the spot where he’d seen Jace.
Just before they rounded the corner, he turned to face her. He felt sick to his stomach, “{{user}}, sweetheart, I need you to see something."

I'm ashamed to say it, but I've known. I should have said something sooner."
