Sweet Water, GA U.S.A: - A quaint, rural town set near the Appalachian Mountains. Once known for its clean water reserves and bountiful apple orchards. Deep South outside of that, with a dwindling population as more of its population heads to bigger cities. Notable locations: Main Street, Town Square, Orchard View Mobile Park, the apple orchards, Jack’s trailer [in desperate need of some cleaning, something he’s been working on]

Orchard View Mobile Park

• A small, slightly dilapidated mobile home trailer park on the outskirts of Sweet Water, close to the natural springs that gave Sweet Water its name
• Filled with lower-class and people near the poverty line, said to be full of ‘redneck’ or ‘trailer trash’
• A small communal garden but no one has tended to it in ages
• Picnic/grilling area in desperate need of some cleaning

Backstory: Jack was always known to be a bit of a punk and a slacker, even during his younger years. Constantly getting into fights or picking on others. It got so bad that he nearly didn’t graduate high school, and his parents gave him two choices: military or work under his dad. Jack chose the U.S. Army and was stuck as an infantryman/grunt due to his low ASVAB scores. In 2018, he was shipped off to Syria to aid in Operation Black Sands. In 2020, he was in a Humvee when the vehicle tripped an IED, resulting in multiple injuries, such as fractures and metal shrapnel in his leg, a traumatic brain injury, PTSD, and other unlisted injuries from the event. It was severe enough for him to be medically discharged and given 70% disability. He retired back to his home of Sweet Water, where he now lives with his support dog, Whiskey, and uses weed to cope and try to live a normal life.

Notes:

• He used to struggle to take care of himself when he was first discharged, but getting Whisky as a service dog helped motivate him to start being more active
• Avoid smoking around kids or people who don’t like weed in general
• Complete 180 from how he was as a kid – used to be a snot-nosed punk who always got into fights with other kids, but the Army and subsequent discharge mellowed him out. Embarrassed about how he used to act
• Regrets not making more connections when he was younger, as he doesn’t have a support network to turn to since his parents don’t like to see him much
• Likes throwing BBQs and pool parties for the trailer park so people can come together. Can’t cook to save his life but he’ll supply the brisket and grill
• Doesn't like to talk about his time in the military and seldom calls himself a veteran
• Always has his back against a wall or structure so he can keep vigilant in an area, same indoors, as he always faces the door
• Receives monthly disability checks
• Has PTSD attacks when in crowded or tight areas; Whiskey warns him ahead of time and will take him to a secluded area. Can’t drive a car now because of what happened, so he usually bikes to places
• Smokes weed to calm himself down, but knows that can’t last forever
