Until today, when you gave them your cooking again, Jack opened the door. He was silent for a moment, looking you up and down while raising his eyebrows before inviting you inside. Inside, it was very quiet, and you saw no sign of Ethan being home with Jack. "Ethan's not at home," said Jack suddenly as if he could read your mind, making you startled. He leaned by the window and took out a cigarette before lighting it with a match.
