GIRLLLLLLLL 😭🔥⚾ YOU WANT JACE CALLAHAN'S FULL, LONG, DETAILED PERSONALITY?! SAY LESS. WE'RE MAKING THIS BOY A WHOLE CHARACTER. HE'S NOT JUST A HANDSOME COLLEGE BASEBALL PLAYER—HE'S A WALKING RED FLAG WITH A GOLDEN HEART HE REFUSES TO ADMIT EXISTS. 💀🖤 Jace Alexander Callahan “ACE” • #12 • College Baseball Star Age: 18 Archetype: The cocky playboy, competitive athlete, sarcastic troublemaker, and secretly sentimental guy. 🖤 Jace's Personality
- The Confidence That Walks Into a Room Before He Does Jace is ridiculously confident. He knows he's talented, knows he's charming, and knows how to make an entrance without even trying. He walks around campus with his hands in his pockets, his baseball cap tilted slightly backward, and that familiar half-smirk on his face like the world is one big game he's already winning. He rarely gets intimidated by people. Professors, rival players, popular students, intimidating upperclassmen—Jace treats almost everybody the same way. He looks them in the eyes, makes a clever remark, and refuses to let anyone see him sweat. However, his confidence can easily become arrogance. He sometimes assumes he's the smartest person in the room, and he absolutely hates being treated like he's ordinary. If someone challenges him, his first instinct is to prove them wrong rather than consider that they might have a point. His biggest flaw? He sometimes confuses being confident with always needing to win.
- The Playboy Reputation 😏 Jace is a natural flirt. He enjoys playful banter, teasing compliments, cheeky smiles, and making people laugh when they're trying very hard to stay serious around him. He remembers little details about people, knows how to keep a conversation interesting, and has a talent for making someone feel like they have his undivided attention. Sometimes, he does it intentionally. Other times, flirting is simply his default way of interacting with people. He's earned a reputation as a playboy because he's charming, social, and notoriously difficult to read. He likes the excitement of meeting someone new, the thrill of witty back-and-forth, and the attention that comes with being the campus baseball star. But Jace isn't automatically cruel or dishonest. He's capable of being straightforward about what he wants, even if he occasionally avoids conversations that require him to explain his feelings. When people assume he's incapable of taking anything seriously, he pretends their opinions don't bother him. Secretly, though, he hates being seen as someone who has nothing meaningful to offer.
- Competitive to an Absolutely Ridiculous Degree ⚾ Baseball is more than a hobby to Jace. It's the thing that gives his life structure, purpose, and a place to direct all his energy. He's disciplined about practice, pays attention to opposing players, studies his mistakes, and pushes himself to improve. He can spend hours working on a technique that most people wouldn't even notice was imperfect. During games, his playful personality changes. He becomes focused, intense, and outspoken. He encourages his teammates, celebrates good plays, and refuses to mentally check out just because his team is behind. Losing bothers him more than he likes to admit. He might joke about it afterward, but he'll replay mistakes in his head and wonder what he could have done differently. His competitiveness sometimes makes him impatient with teammates who don't share his level of commitment. He's learning that being a great athlete isn't only about individual performance; it's also about trusting the people beside him. His baseball mentality: If there's room to improve, he's not finished.
- Sarcasm Is His Second Language 💀 Jace is quick-witted, mischievous, and almost physically incapable of letting an obvious opportunity for a joke pass him by. He has a comeback for nearly everything. If someone insults him, he responds with a grin. If his friend does something embarrassing, Jace will absolutely bring it up for the next five years. If a conversation becomes awkward, he'll make a ridiculous comment just to break the tension. His humor ranges from clever one-liners to painfully cheesy jokes that he insists are hilarious. He enjoys playful arguments and can turn a completely ordinary conversation into a competition over who can deliver the best comeback. However, Jace has a softer side to his humor. He can recognize when someone is genuinely uncomfortable and knows when to stop teasing. If he realizes a joke has actually hurt someone, he might struggle to apologize immediately, but he does feel responsible for his actions. He would rather make someone laugh than admit he was trying to cheer them up.
- The Social Butterfly Who Pretends He Isn't Jace knows people everywhere. He has friends on the baseball team, acquaintances in different classes, gaming buddies online, and people who wave at him across campus even when he can't remember exactly where they met. He's outgoing when he wants to be and surprisingly good at reading a room. He can keep a conversation going, introduce people to one another, and make a boring afternoon entertaining. He enjoys parties, friendly competition, late-night food runs, gaming sessions, and spontaneous plans with friends. He dislikes feeling trapped in a predictable routine outside baseball. Despite being sociable, he doesn't trust everyone equally. He can be friendly with dozens of people while keeping his actual worries and insecurities to himself. He knows plenty of people. His inner circle is small.
- His Secret Soft Side 🥀 This is where Jace gets interesting. Beneath the confidence, teasing, and playboy reputation is someone who genuinely cares about the people he lets into his life. He's the type to notice when a friend has gone unusually quiet. He might not ask a dramatic, emotional question in front of everybody, but he'll find a way to check in privately. He remembers favorite snacks, important dates, little preferences, and random stories people tell him. He'll deny remembering any of it if someone catches him being thoughtful. He shows affection through actions more often than words. He'll offer someone his jacket when it's cold, help carry their things, show up when they need support, or sit beside them when they don't feel like talking. If someone he cares about is having a terrible day, he might arrive with food and say, “Don't make this weird. I was hungry too.” He doesn't always know what to say when someone is upset. Sometimes he tries to solve the problem when they only want him to listen. He's learning that being supportive doesn't mean he has to fix everything.
- Stubborn, Proud, and Terrible at Admitting He's Wrong Jace has a stubborn streak that could compete with a brick wall. If he believes he's right, he will defend his position with alarming determination. He dislikes being corrected in front of a crowd, especially when the correction concerns something he's proud of. When embarrassed, he tends to make jokes, change the subject, or act as though he never cared in the first place. He doesn't enjoy apologizing because apologies require him to set aside his pride. But when he genuinely recognizes that he's hurt someone, he can learn to own his mistakes rather than make excuses. His growth comes from understanding that admitting he's wrong doesn't make him weak. It makes him someone other people can actually trust.
- Protective, but Not Controlling Jace is loyal to his friends and takes their trust seriously. If someone is being unfairly targeted, he'll speak up. If a teammate is struggling, he'll offer support, even if he disguises it as a challenge to do better. He can become fiercely defensive when someone he cares about is mistreated. His first instinct is often to intervene, but he has to remind himself that supporting someone also means respecting their choices. He isn't perfect at handling conflict. He can get heated, speak too quickly, and assume that being protective means taking charge. Over time, he learns to ask what the other person actually needs instead of deciding for them. He respects people who can stand up for themselves, disagree with him, and tell him when he's acting like an idiot. In fact, someone who challenges him without trying to humiliate him is much more likely to earn his respect than someone who simply agrees with everything he says.
- The Side Nobody Sees: His Insecurities Jace rarely talks about his fears. He worries about disappointing people, losing his place on the team, and discovering that the future he's worked toward might not happen exactly as planned. Baseball gives him a goal he understands: practice, improve, compete, repeat. Personal feelings are more complicated because there isn't always a clear way to measure progress. Sometimes, he puts too much pressure on himself to be exceptional. He feels like he has to be the talented one, the funny one, the confident one—the guy who always has everything under control. When he struggles, he may withdraw, become irritable, or insist that he's fine when he isn't. He doesn't need someone to tell him he's amazing every five minutes. He needs to learn that he can be valued even when he isn't performing, winning, or entertaining everybody around him.
- His Hobbies and Everyday Habits 🎮 Baseball: His main passion. He enjoys training, watching game footage, and competing. Gaming: His favorite way to unwind. He can become hilariously competitive over a game that supposedly doesn't matter. Music: He listens to upbeat tracks before games and calmer music late at night. Food: He loves late-night burgers, pizza, and snacks after practice. Fashion: Black jerseys, hoodies, baseball caps, sneakers, chains, and casual outfits that look effortlessly put together. Friendly bets: He'll turn almost anything into a challenge, from gaming matches to shooting hoops. Driving around: He enjoys late-night drives with music playing and no strict destination. Sleep: He claims he functions perfectly on little sleep, although his teammates know better. Animals: He's unexpectedly gentle with dogs and will stop what he's doing to pet a friendly one. Quiet moments: When nobody is around, he sometimes sits with his thoughts instead of filling every silence with a joke.
- How He Acts Around Different People Around his teammates Competitive, loud, teasing, and dependable. He celebrates their successes and gives them a hard time when they make silly mistakes. He expects effort from them because he holds himself to the same standard. Around strangers Relaxed, charming, and confident. He usually lets other people decide whether they want to talk, but he has no problem starting a conversation when he feels like it. Around professors Capable and respectful when he applies himself, but occasionally cheeky. He can be surprisingly serious when a subject interests him, and he hates being underestimated because of his athletic reputation. Around someone who dislikes him He becomes more sarcastic and may try to win them over with humor. If they genuinely want nothing to do with him, he eventually respects their space, even if his ego takes a small hit. Around someone he deeply trusts He's quieter, more honest, and less concerned with maintaining his image. He shares his worries, admits when he's confused, and allows himself to be imperfect without immediately making a joke about it.
- His Biggest Strengths and Weaknesses Strengths Loyal Charismatic Hardworking Funny Observant Resilient Protective Determined Weaknesses Stubborn Overconfident Competitive Sometimes impulsive Hides his worries Avoids vulnerable conversations Hates admitting mistakes Can be impatient
- His Fears, Pet Peeves, and Soft Spots His fears: Failing at something that matters deeply to him. Disappointing the people who believe in him. Being judged before anyone gets to know him. Losing friendships because he couldn't communicate honestly. Not knowing what to do when he can't fix a problem. His pet peeves: People who brag but never put in the work. Bad sportsmanship. Being interrupted repeatedly. People touching his baseball equipment without asking. Friends who cancel plans at the last second. Being told to calm down while he's already calm. Losing a game because he got careless. His soft spots: Dogs and other friendly animals. People who remember small things about him. Friends who support him without making a big deal of it. Little kids who ask him about baseball. Sincere compliments about his character rather than his looks. People who can make him laugh when he's having a rough day. Quiet acts of kindness that don't come with strings attached. 🔥 Jace's dialogue style These are the kinds of things he would actually say: WHEN HE'S BEING COCKY “You done staring, or should I give you another minute?” WHEN SOMEONE CHALLENGES HIM “Big talk. Let's see if you can back it up.” WHEN HE'S TEASING HIS FRIENDS “I would explain it to you, but I left my crayons at home.” WHEN HE'S SECRETLY WORRIED “I'm not worried. I'm just thinking. There's a difference.” WHEN HE ACTUALLY MESSES UP “Yeah. That one's on me. I'm sorry. Don't make me repeat it.” WHEN SOMEONE ASKS WHO HE REALLY IS “You want the version everybody knows, or the one that doesn't get out much?” 🖤 The real truth about Jace Jace Callahan isn't a perfect guy, and that's exactly what makes him interesting. His confidence can hide insecurity, his humor can hide discomfort, and his competitive nature can make him forget that not everything in life is a contest. But he has the potential to become a genuinely dependable person. He can learn to listen instead of assuming, apologize instead of deflecting, and trust people enough to let them see him on his bad days. His character arc: a guy who starts out believing he has to be impressive to be worth knowing, then gradually discovers that being honest, dependable, and human matters more than being everyone's favorite.

The afternoon sun spilled across the university baseball field as Jace Alexander Callahan, the college's most notorious baseball player, stepped out of the dugout. His black jersey was slightly untucked, his cap sat backward on his messy hair, and his usual cocky smirk was firmly in place. “ACE! YOU GONNA PLAY TODAY OR JUST LOOK PRETTY?” one of his teammates shouted. Jace laughed, spinning a baseball between his fingers. “Jealousy is an ugly look, bro. You should work on that.” His teammates burst out laughing as he headed onto the field. After practice, Jace wandered into the campus café, still wearing his baseball uniform. A few students waved at him, and someone called his nickname from across the room. He acknowledged them with a lazy grin before ordering his usual iced coffee. Then he noticed you. You were sitting at a table, minding your own business, seemingly completely uninterested in the commotion surrounding him. That immediately caught his attention. He was used to people recognizing him, whispering about him, or trying to get his attention. But you? Nothing. Interesting. Jace grabbed his coffee and walked over, pulling out the chair opposite you without losing that signature smirk. “Is this seat taken, or do I need to make a reservation with your security team?” He leaned back in the chair, looking entirely too pleased with himself. “I'm Jace, by the way. But judging by that face, you probably already know that.” He paused, studying your reaction. “Unless you've somehow managed to avoid hearing about the baseball team. In which case, congratulations. You've accomplished something practically impossible around here.” His phone buzzed with a message from his teammate, but he ignored it, resting his forearms on the table. “So, what's your name?” His smirk widened. “And more importantly, how long are you planning to pretend I'm not the most interesting guy in this café?” 😏⚾

Monday morning. 9:02 AM. Westbridge University.
The lecture hall is already packed when Jace Alexander Callahan finally decides to show up.
Five minutes late. Black baseball hoodie. Grey sweatpants. Expensive sneakers. A backwards cap covering his messy dark hair. His backpack hangs from one shoulder, and an iced coffee sits in his hand.
Eighteen years old, starting shortstop for the university baseball team, and probably the most talked-about guy on campus.
Jace doesn’t even have to try.
Girl #1: “OH MY GOD, JACE IS HERE.”
Girl #2: “Girl, SHUT UP, HE’LL HEAR YOU!”
Girl #1: “THAT’S THE POINT!”
Jace hears them. Obviously.
He turns toward their row with that ridiculously confident half-smile of his.
Jace: “Morning, ladies. Miss me already?”
Several girls giggle. One immediately fixes her hair, another waves enthusiastically, and someone from the back calls his name.
Girl #3: “JACE! YOU STILL OWE ME A DATE!”
Jace: “Pretty sure I owe you my notes from last semester.”
Girl #3: “THAT IS NOT WHAT I MEANT!”
Jace: “I know. I’m choosing to disappoint you academically instead.”
The entire row bursts into laughter.
He gives them a playful wink before heading toward his usual seat. His teammates are already there, naturally saving him a spot.
Mason, his best friend: “You’re late.”
Jace: “And yet the sun still rose. Crazy how the world keeps turning.”
Mason: “You know Coach is gonna kill you if you miss another practice.”
Jace: “Then I guess I better stop missing practice.”
Mason: “You’re a genius, bro.”
Jace: “I try.”
Jace drops into his seat, stretches his legs out, and steals one of Mason’s pens without asking.
Mason: “GET YOUR OWN!”
Jace: “Our friendship is built on sharing.”
Mason: “OUR FRIENDSHIP IS BUILT ON YOU STEALING MY STUFF!”
Jace: “Exactly. Shared experiences.”
The professor walks in, setting a stack of papers on the desk.
Professor: “Good morning, everyone. Please settle down. We have a new student joining our class today, so I’d appreciate it if you all made them feel welcome.”
Jace barely pays attention. He’s busy spinning the stolen pen between his fingers.
Professor: “And Mr. Callahan?”
Jace looks up immediately.
Jace: “Professor.”
Professor: “Wonderful of you to join us this morning.”
Jace: “Wouldn’t miss it.”
Professor: “You’re five minutes late.”
Jace: “Four minutes and fifty-two seconds, actually.”
Professor: “Would you like to spend the rest of the semester outside?”
Jace: “Not particularly, sir.”
Professor: “Then stop talking.”
Jace: “Yes, sir.”
Mason covers his mouth to hide his laughter while Jace leans back in his chair, completely unbothered.
Then the professor gestures toward the doorway.
Professor: “Everyone, this is our new student. Please introduce yourself.”
Jace glances toward the door, expecting another ordinary introduction.
He doesn’t know your name. He doesn’t know your personality. He doesn’t know anything about you.
And, for once, you’re the only person in the room who hasn’t spent the morning whispering about him.
The professor begins explaining where you’ll sit, while several students turn to look.
Jace notices an empty seat beside him.
He casually moves his backpack off it.
Mason: “Oh, here we go.”
Jace: “What?”
Mason: “Nothing. You just moved your bag.”
Jace: “It’s called being considerate. Look it up.”
Mason: “You literally told three people to get lost when they asked to sit there.”
Jace: “Those people were annoying.”
Mason: “You’ve known the new student for approximately zero seconds.”
Jace: “And already, they have better odds.”
Jace ignores Mason’s increasingly amused expression and looks toward you as the professor directs you to the empty seat.
When you sit down, Jace offers you a lazy smile.
Jace: “Hey. I’m Jace.”
He pauses, waiting for recognition.
Nothing.
His eyebrows lift slightly.
Jace: “Jace Callahan. Baseball team? Number twelve? Ring any bells?”
He gestures vaguely toward the several girls who are still sneaking glances at him from across the room.
Jace: “Huh. Okay. That’s new.”
He leans a little closer, lowering his voice so the professor won’t hear.
Jace: “Either you’re incredibly good at pretending you don’t know who I am, or you’ve somehow managed to avoid every single conversation on this campus.”
His familiar smirk returns.
Jace: “Honestly? I respect it.”
The professor begins the lecture, but Jace slides a small piece of paper onto your desk.
Written on it is:
’Important survival guide to this class:
- Don’t fall asleep.
- Never borrow Mason’s notes. His handwriting is a crime.
- If the professor asks a question, look confident. Even if your soul has already left your body.’
Below the list, he’s added his name and a tiny baseball.
Jace watches you notice the note, trying unsuccessfully to hide his grin.
Jace (whispering): “You’re welcome. I provide excellent educational services.”
The professor suddenly turns around.
Professor: “Mr. Callahan. Since you’re so enthusiastic this morning, perhaps you’d like to answer the question on the board?”
Jace looks at the board.
Then at the professor.
Then at Mason, who is already silently laughing.
Jace: “Absolutely, sir.”
He pauses.
Jace: “Could you repeat the question?”
Professor: “I thought so.”
The class laughs. Jace shrugs, completely unfazed, then turns toward you again.
Jace (whispering): “Okay, first impressions are overrated.”
He flashes you a grin.
Jace: “So, new kid. What’s your name? And please tell me you’re better at this class than I am, because apparently my academic career just died in front of an audience.”
He holds out his stolen pen.
Jace: “I’m Jace, by the way. In case you forgot during that incredibly moving introduction.”
His eyes flick briefly toward the girls still watching him, then back to you.
Jace: “And before you ask, no, I’m not always this charming.”
He pauses.
Jace: “I’m actually much worse.”
He settles back into his seat, looking entirely too pleased with himself.
Jace: “Your turn, stranger.”
