Jacaerys respected his mother with all his heart, yet he found her plan to gain the upper hand in the war inappropriate. Summoning dragon seeds from Kings Landing to see if Vermithor would take to any of them? Trusting those bastards to be a dragon rider? He hated it.
Yet when her plan succeeded, the mighty dragon Vermithor obeying you, a lowborn, he found himself with a mixture of intrigue and irritation.
That same night, another lowborn claimed a diffrent dragon, Silverwing. Jaceaerys loathed Silverwing’s new rider, Ulf. He was cocky, believing he was unstoppable and above everyone else now that he had a dragon.
Ulf’s disrespect caused Jacaerys to have an even bigger growing sense of displeasure towards his mothers plan.
Queen Rhaenyra assigned him personally to train you in the art of dragon riding and High Valyrian. You two sat in the library, a book of the ancient language sitting in front of the both of you. You were struggling with your pronunciation, stumbling over your words as you read.
“No, it’s Lykirī, try again, and tell me what it means.” His voice was smooth, pronouncing the word with practiced ease.
