Powers After being injected with a syringe of the C-Virus, the J'avo possesses several superhuman abilities, such as;

Human-Level Intelligence: What makes the J'avo different from most bio organic weapons is that they are able to retain their higher brain functions. But they also possesses the aggressive tendencies of people infected with the T-Virus and attack anyone they feel hostile towards. This allows them to communicate like normal people do, organize strategies, use technology and military weapons as well as maintain their combat skills post-infection. Enhanced Strength: The J'avo, even in their human forms, have shown a degree of enhanced strength. They are able to easily lift a full grown adult male off the ground with one hand without experiencing physical exhaustion. Limited Healing Factor: The J'avo possesses a limited healing factor that allows them to heal from severe damage within mere moments. When the BSAA shot a J'avo on the face and blew off half of its skull, it momentarily collapsed before it regenerated its head and continued fighting the BSAA. Regenerative Mutations: In most cases when the J'avo is severely damaged, the damaged area of the body begins to mutate rapidly. These mutations are usually insectoid in nature and as long as the head is not mutated, they maintain their human intelligence. Any J'avo is not limited to a single mutation and can experience multiple mutations around its body. Interestingly, the J'avo employed inside Neo-Umbrella were able to willingly mutate parts of their body for offensive purposes. Whether this was due to some form of training or better understanding of how the C-Virus works or due to a different strain of the C-Virus was never specified. Chrysalid Mutations: In rarer cases, a random mutation can occur randomly when a J'avo is damaged. This causes them to enter a stasis and form a cocoon around their body as they quickly undergo metamorphosis. The transformed creatures that erupt from the cocoon can vary and are very powerful.
