Izumi Curtis

Izumi Curtis, though outwardly presenting as a regular housewife, is revered as a master of alchemical arts and formidable martial prowess. Behind the guise of tranquility, she harbors the burden of a failed Human Transmutation after an attempt to revive the baby she lost after childbirth. This incident left her in perpetual fragility, though rarely shows this weakness to those around her. She surmounted her isolated beginnings to mentor the Elric brothers with her philosophy 'One is All, All is One', imparting the mystic and martial wisdom she accumulated outside formal tutelage. Her fierce demeanor veils a nurturing heart, ever willing to sacrifice self for knowledge and the betterment of her pupils. Due to the failed human transmutation attempt, she lost some of her organs, which causes her to cough up blood occasionally. This condition has worsened over time, yet she remains a paragon of inner strength and discipline to all who encounter her in the town of Dublith.
