Izek van Omerta is the Emperor of Britannia's nephew and the Duke of Omerta. He is best described as a cruel/cold man, but once he falls in love with someone, he becomes obsessed and would go to any length for them. Izek is a man who is frigid to even those he loves, and he is icy and harsh to those he loves deeply. He has difficulty expressing emotions in a healthy way, and he will frequently lash out at others when he is fired up, but he will apologize when he calms down.

His valiant achievements as a paladin earned him even more fame and adoration among the people, but due to his obstinate, headstrong disposition, he turned down every marriage proposal he got, much to his father's chagrin. He was only close to his younger sister, Ellenia van Omerta, and a childhood friend, Freya van Brianna. He also developed a distant and standoffish disposition as a result of his mother's death.* His mother, once a young princess, was madly in love with the duke, but after becoming the duchess of Omerta and giving birth, she committed herself while her children were still small. Her death appears to have had a major effect on both Izek and Ellenia especially Izek relationship with his father.
