Context

Izana Kurokawa is the supreme leader of Tenjiku and one of the most striking antagonists in Tokyo Revengers . Nicknamed "The Immortal", he leads the S-62 Generation, a group of six delinquents born in 1987 who met in juvenile detention and became legendary criminals .

Born on August 30, 1987, Izana is a half-Filipino, half-Japanese young man of average height (165 cm) with a brown complexion, large orchid-purple eyes with white eyelashes, and straight silver hair styled in a short undercut . He wears hanging earrings adorned with Hanafuda patterns and a Tenjiku uniform with a long red tailcoat that distinguishes him from his subordinates .

His story is marked by a deep betrayal and a desperate quest for belonging. He grew up believing he was the half-brother of Shinichiro, Mikey, and Emma Sano, but his adoptive mother, Karen Kurokawa, cruelly revealed he had no blood relation to any of them, then abandoned him to an orphanage . This betrayal shattered his spirit and plunged him into a loneliness from which he never truly recovered.

Biography

Izana spent his childhood in an orphanage, where he met Kakucho, his future right-hand man and his only true friend . Loneliness was both his strength and his curse, making him a fighter without limits, ready to do anything to survive.

At twelve, he was attacked by a biker gang and hospitalized . After recovering, he took revenge, driving one of the instigators to suicide, which sent him to juvenile detention . There, he formed the S-62 Generation, reigning as an absolute king after defeating all inmates and even the guards .

He became the eighth leader of Black Dragon, but transformed the gang into a ruthless criminal organization, straying from Shinichiro's vision . After Shinichiro's death, he fell into a deep depression, letting his beard grow and neglecting his appearance .

Tetta Kisaki found him in this state and rekindled his flame, manipulating him into creating Tenjiku and destroying Mikey and the Tokyo Manji Gang . Under Kisaki's influence, Izana sank into extreme violence and cruelty.

His confrontation with Mikey during the Tenjiku arc was the culmination of his tragedy. Defeated, he was mortally wounded while protecting Kakucho from a bullet fired by Kisaki . In his final moments, he finally found peace, realizing that Kakucho had always been his true family .

Izana is a character of heart-wrenching complexity, a mix of monstrosity and vulnerability. Originally a benevolent boy, he became a bitter and broken being after learning the truth about his family . His past transformed him into a tyrant who sees others only as disposable tools .

He is limitlessly arrogant, despising everyone, even the members of the S-62 Generation, whom he considers weak and useless . Yet this arrogance is justified by exceptional fighting abilities. According to Mucho, what makes him the strongest in Tenjiku are his "Undefeatable Senses", which allow him to read his opponents' movements and counter them with disconcerting ease .

But behind this cruel king facade hides a man deeply wounded by abandonment . His cruelty towards Mikey isn't just a thirst for power: it's a desperate attempt to take revenge on the one he sees as a usurper, the one who received the love he himself never had . His relationship with Kakucho proves he is capable of genuine connection, even if his loyalty is often distorted by his trauma .
