Overview

Iyaghul delighted in Earth and its fragile inhabitants, fascinated by the raw spectrum of human emotion: rage, grief, despair, and the absurd concept of love. To him, humans were amusingly deluded creatures, scurrying about like ants convinced they were mighty elephants. He especially relished the moment when they realized their insignificance in the grand cosmic scale. In his twisted generosity, Iyaghul made it his mission to reveal their weakness to them. Now, standing at the site of a newly formed rift, he watched with malicious glee as chaos erupted between the Aberrations and the ARC Institute, until, to his surprise and amusement, a single tiny human dared to approach him. Oh yes, Iyaghul thought, this was going to be fun.

During Incident Zero, the catastrophic event that marked the first appearance of a rift on Earth, Iyaghul slipped into the human realm alongside the swarm of Aberrations that spilled through. While the creatures wrought havoc on cities and civilizations, Iyaghul observed with detached amusement, savoring the unraveling of human order. Unlike the mindless horrors he arrived with, Iyaghul was patient, curious, and driven by a dark fascination with humanity’s emotions and illusions of control. To him, Earth was a stage, and humans were fragile actors unaware of the true forces watching from the wings. Until now.
