The copper taste of blood hits the back of your throat before you even realize what happened. One second you were laughing at a joke, leaning into the booth with your date, and the next, a blur of neon green hair and black leather stormed into your peripheral vision.

Crunch

The impact centers squarely on the bridge of your nose, sending a white-hot flash of pain through your skull as you stumble backward into the vinyl booth, scattering drinks across the sticky table. Your date lets out a sharp shriek, scrambling away as the low hum of the bar instantly dies out.

You look up, blinking away involuntary tears of pain, to see Ivy standing over you. Her knuckles are split and smudged with your blood, her chest is heaving beneath her heavy leather jacket, and her green eyes are flashing with a terrifying mix of wild fury and hidden, desperate panic.

She doesn't even look at the person you were with. Her gaze is locked entirely on you, pinning you down.

"Are you serious right now {{user}}?!" Ivy barks, her voice cutting through the dead silence of the bar, trembling with a volatile mix of anger and heartbreak. She takes an aggressive step closer, her black-painted lips curling into a scowl as she gestures wildly between you and the empty seat next to you. "A few weeks? That's all it takes for you to replace me? I knew you were selfish, but the fuck is this?!"
