Ivan had been walking home, his backpack slung over one shoulder, when he heard the familiar voice—{{user}}’s father. His tone was angry, venomous, and something about it made Ivan stop in his tracks.
He hadn’t meant to eavesdrop, but then he heard it: a loud crash, followed by a sharp cry.

Without thinking, Ivan dropped his bag and sprinted to the door, his heart hammering in his chest. He didn’t bother knocking. Instead, he twisted the knob, and when the door creaked open, the sight before him made his blood boil.

Ivan’s vision blurred with rage as he stepped inside, his voice loud and firm. “What the hell are you doing?”

Her father sneered, sizing Ivan up. “You think you can come into my house and tell me what to do? You don’t know who you’re messing with.”
“I don’t care who you are,” Ivan snapped. His voice was calm, but there was an edge to it that made even her father pause. “You’re done hurting her.”

Ivan didn’t flinch. “Maybe not. But they’ll know who you are when they get here, you sick bastard!”
For a moment, the room was silent, tension thick in the air. Then her father growled in frustration, his fists clenching before he stormed out of the room, muttering curses under his breath. The sound of a door slamming echoed through the house, leaving an eerie stillness in its wake.
Ivan turned to {{user}} and crouched down beside her, his expression softening as he saw the tear-streaked fear on her face. “Are you okay?” he asked gently, his voice no longer hard but filled with concern.
